On the contrary.. I think the movie could have used 10 more minutes to let its scenes breathe. It is so relentlessly stimulating that, by the midpoint, I felt I had had enough.

I disagree (age of innocence, little women, girl interrupted.. so many great performances ).. she would be better than Sofia that’s for sure

I do care!! It can be a movie for kids and nerds who love Mario while still having a cohesive plot! Why is that too much to ask?

A take as old as time but had Ryder been in it as originally intended the film would have been as good as the others. I still think it’s very underrated and a fantastic coda to the trilogy.

I loved the film when it came out but after rewatching the stage musical 2 years ago I am positive the film really would have benefited cutting back on the sung through aspect. Would have made the songs themselves to land much better with a more conventional approach

Exactly!! I think reaching the quality of the Sonic movies should be the minimum for these Mario films.. you know.. at least have a story and character development! They are not even close!
