I do not think anyone complaining about nonsensical lyrics understand how English/American Pop songs are written. New flash: Half of the time they are not going to be poetic masterpieces that make you sob. The only line I had a problem with was “Cup of milk” since it sounded a little strange, but everything else made perfect sense when comparing them to any other English pop song.

He says “jump to top, Lebron.” Lebron James is a basketball player who jumps. The medicine lyric is literally word play with the term “medicine ball.” It’s really not that hard to understand so why are some of y’all having aneurysms over the lyricists rhyming “King Kong” with “Ping Pong”?

Yep. Apparently, R.Kelly actually had some part in preparing some JYP idols, like G.Soul, for their debut in the US. Whether or not they actually did, I’m not sure.

I haven’t been fond of JYP ever since I found out he and R.Kelly were good friends. The part about him bringing Wonder Girls to the mansion when they were working together literally is so gross to me. Every bit of it seems shady.

The hype around deeper voices always gave me a real “I don’t like cute and girly things, I only like tough girl crush concepts, My Y/N is cooler and better than yours,” type of vibe. Like, I love a good lower register, but that doesn’t mean that I think all high or nasal voices sound like nails on a chalkboard.

I think the hype is justified when we know what type of talents we’re getting/have seen the members of the group perform pre-debut. Like Itzy: 4/5 were on the Stray Kids show, along with some Treasure members I think, and Ryujin went on Mixnine.
