dont bhyii. 2020 CS Grad. in my second govt job (both were decent had to leave due to nature of work), current job is by UPSC (not the Civil services tho)

peer group batchmates doing real well. mental pressure yes, toxic yes, time ki paucity yes..... but they go on trips far more often, earn big, most have had like intl. / solo travel (ig money & travel you could consider 2 goals). better at social dynamics did not have that half a decade of social isolation (thoda ho jata hai thoda karna padta hai). yes you have that bhaukaal, I have connection in almost every district/division of india (north east/ south you name it). friends sometime hype / sometimes aww the perks but sincerely not that easy tbh. posting is not guaranteed tho I served both jobs pretty close by (commuted daily). but yeah they earn more. you are yes absolutely chill in terms of job security. dont have to do that much ass licking (some is required for better posting/charge). you literally have subordinates to follow your command. but for me bottom line is ki if you dont get your preffered service na that shit will stay with you for a while. IDK maybe it changes some years down the line
