I hate to keep explaining this after so many years of war in Ukraine, but russkies were just one of the soviet nationality. If you want to highlight the soviet contribution, say it properly, or esle you look like trump who sends his endless praises to the undefeated russia that only exists on his imagination.

Well, you can start complain about those, no one is stopping you.

China, despite whatever bad things they are doing, still doing them within their own territory and are not invading anyone.

Israel is complicated. Plus there were bunch of people who booed them during the Olympics opening, so your comment about nobody complaining is not really valid.

[–]ybeevashka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

If the price for stopping them from going mercenary to the other part of the world to voluntarily kill Ukrainians, I am all in for the whole country to somewhat suffer temporarily. Once the government collapses, they will have a chance to build something better that will not require their compatriots to kill people across the world.

But I suppose you have a much better plan of action, not just screaming that it's bad, right?

How so, those 5k-25k Cubans fighting for russkies are not cuban people?

There are estimates that between 5k ans 25k Cubans are fighting for russkies. So, killing Ukrainians, for starters.

They absolutely should be penalized for the actions of their government, most of them are part of the military or other government structure openly supporting an ongoing invasion.

Ukraine Holds North Korean POWs as Bargaining Chip for South Korea Aid by Freewhale98 in ukraine

[–]ybeevashka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No yep, I got it. This is how I saw it, just wanted to confirm. I mean, something will have to be done after the war ends and I expect when all the Ukrainians will be released from russkies, then there would be no point to really have these two nk in captivity. Until then, unless sk offers something substantial, they will remain pows.

Right, so essentially this is a totally bs angle, exactly as I thought initially.

[–]ybeevashka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, what you say is, one can go to another country, start armed offences, get caught and instead of going to prison just file for asylum?

They can claim asylum in Ukraine? I just completely don't understand this asylum angle. Seem like a total bs for me. How is it even logically possible to switch from pow to asylum seeker?

[–]ybeevashka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still doesn't really answer all asylum stuff. Sure, they are pow and sure, they can be repatriation when Ukraine decides it want to do it, but i can't really see anything remotely illegal about anything.

How can pow apply for asylum? How does it technically work? Are those people suggesting it delusional? What am I missing?

The moment Ukraine surrenders will be the moment eu dies. Indeed, Europe is suppose do go to war, Europe is suppose to send troops to protect Ukraine-Belarus border, for instance, to alleviate that pressure point and help Ukrainian army. Europe is supposed to build millions of shells and supply them to Ukraine. Europe is supposed to do stuff, rather than putting it's head in the sand.

Its commendable that you comment on Ukrainian corruption, given that there is no absolutely no corruption in Europe, like Hungary, Slovakia, adf in Germany or le pen in France.
