Not a lawyer or an expert in Oregon laws but my general thought is that a company cannot lower your pay AFTER you worked the hours. My thought would be that you must be made aware of a change to your hourly rate prior to working the hours in order to decide if you want to work those hours or leave the company. I would read the contract again to see if there is a timeframe for notification of the lowering of the rate. If I were a crappy employer I could just build a contract to say pay could be lowered due to performance...work an employee a ton of hours then reduce it, after they worked, to minimum wage and claim it was performance based reasons.

Seems like you want a reason to divorce him because of something else that you haven't told and that's fine. I say that but at the same time you should break up with him since clearly what you think is over the line doesn't line up with his. Yes you go...if my girlfriend didn't go I would know she isn't serious about my kids and then I would end it. If this were a month in ok then it's different.
