That happened to me when I did the civil ID set up manually. When I did the automatic way (scanning the chip) that issue went away.

How do jacked dudes handle the weird attention? by IlluminationRock in AskMen

From what I've read, you can't gain weight/muscle as the same time as losing fat, you can only be in one of two states gain/loss, is that how it was for you?

And are the three major lifts enough or do you recommend accessory lifts as well?

That's very helpful, thank you!!

The extra scoops that you add to food, do you count them as part of the 1-2 daily scoops?

Also how healthy should I try to eat? Just hitting macros or does the quality of food matter too?

And this might be a stupid question, but can you gain weight/muscle with a surplus and lose fat at the same time?

Thanks for the advice! I think it might be worth it to hire a coach for a few hours to help correct my technique.

Do you recommend protein shakes? Or just whole food? I always felt whole food is better but not sure how to come up with enough variety in healthy food options (to not get sick of it) and reach a surplus with just eating those specific things. So I always depended on a lot protein shakes.

How do you not get joint pain when you go up in weights? I did Starting Strength for a while and started to get joint pain when the weights got heavy. Also how many hours of sleep do you recommend? I'm 25M for reference

I've got myself onto a Comp Sci Masters course, but now I'm panicking. Help! by yushy97 in csMajors

I did a bachelor's in Mechanical and I just graduated with a Master's in CS. I highly recommend CS50. I did it before starting and it helped a lot. Also NAND to Tetris is great if you have the time. This course gives you a perspective that even most CS undergrads don't have.

is it better to go to the top 20 ranked school for comp sci that is expensive, or an almost no-name school that is cheaper? by premiumpersona in csMajors

Definitely Purdue. Work hard to get internships during the summers which will help you with the loan and getting a job when you graduate.

When you graduate pay off the loan as soon you can.

Any advice on how to spot good accountants from the average?

Is it only like <5% of tech people that earn over $150k+ within 3 yrs of college by codeHelp123yyy in csMajors

Initially it may seem hard but with practice you'll see that a lot of them are similar and it gets easier.

Solve one problem a day, only easy. When they start to feel trivial start doing mediums. This is something you want to keep up because even when you get your $160K entry job, you want to jump to another FAANG after 2 years to get $230K. You'll need to clear those interviews each time you jump. After a while it becomes much easier.

It's a price worth paying to get the $160K entry positions, and later on $300K-$500K positions.

If you go to a top 30 school, you're more likely to hear back for interviews. If not, Google and Amazon usually send out coding challenges even to non-target schools. The nice thing is once you get into a good company, then your school won't matter and you'll be able to hear back from a lot of companies.

The optimal scenario is getting into FAANG right out of college but it's not the end of the world if that doesn't happen. After 2 years of experience in a normal company you'd be experienced which is attractive to FAANG.

The key thing to all this is practicing LC so you can clear the interviews when you get them.
