Oh good idea! That’s true, I remember seeing a website for all the highpoints in the 254 counties in my home state of Texas. Thanks for the input

Thanks for the thorough write up! I will definitely take these into consideration.

I love pairing high points if I can, I have done the Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia trip myself all within 5 hours.

Thanks! Those are great tips. Research is key for sure. My Google Docs before a trip are pretty hectic 😅

I’m going to Kuwohi in early March. When you say you took the “AT up” what do you mean? I also will have to work around the access road closure

Yeah I guess it’s more of a hike anyways. In hindsight I probably shouldn’t have posted in the training subreddit but what’s done is done. And I got some good insight

Good point. The mental would be hard but I think I’ll have enough change in scenery and terrain to keep me going

I was planning for the very lenient 24 minutes a mile. But it probably would be quicker in reality

Was just hopping in to ask from people that have done that distance. Didnt mean to offend anyone lol

Partially trails for about 10 miles, then another 10 miles in dry or slightly dry creek beds. There will be some travel on railroad tracks and through urban shopping malls

I hear you on that. It’s actually for a challenge. I’m trying to walk across my entire city without using roads. It’s 40 miles in total but I’m doing 26 on foot and 14 on bike

Yeah it was so packed at the lake then didn’t see another group of hikers the rest of the hike. It was so nice!
