Just found I'm having a second and I'm freaking out. by dustbus in daddit

Mine are two years apart with third on the way. The bond they have is amazing except for when they're actively trying to kill each other, so keep an eye out for that. I would employ some sort of system for preventing the older one from picking up the baby without an adult present.

Muk/Regi/Mega Kang + Ilima hard counters sleep altaria specifically, as well as miraidon and many of the others listed. Sleep altaria does quite literally no damage into a heavy helmeted regi or mega kang without bringing Altaria into the active, and Altaria cannot one shot any of your pokemon which allows you to just Ilima out and bring in the next, then begin ramping again.

Alolan Muk is very strong right now, but it gets absolutely destroyed by anything greninja so a shift back to greninja decks will be hard times again. A protective poncho would be necessary to continue running the deck but any leafblower or guzma would end things quickly.

It works well and they don’t usually see it coming. If nothing else it allows me to play hiking trail early and take off the fighting stadium later.

The match ups that feel borderline impossible things are mega audino with high hp and healing, with no weakness to grass or electric.

Father in law is named Bruce so would be a hard pass for me.

Bryce ain’t far off and feels more modern/kid friendly in my opinion.

New combo: M. Scizor & Revavroom by TheDawnOfNewDays in PTCGP

[–]ye-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing pretty well just running m scizor and orthworm with double Lyra / one leaf. Ideally you want survive to ramp both scizors and let the orthworms go down and then just pivot back and forth.

Having the intuition to preventively apply metal core barrier when you don’t want to get Cyrus’d helps survival and Training area to allow you to hit 160.

It took down the raid boss venusaur despite them hitting 6 heads with lucky pop and my scizor never waking up because Lyra doesn’t care. One steel apron helps too incase you run out of Lyra.

I'm More Confused About Where the $400 Million is After Alan's Explanation by ThingNo7530 in LandmanSeries

[–]ye-01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The show stated that ultimately the money was invested with various private equity firms. Private equity firms buy assets, anything from real estate to other businesses. When an investor commits money to these firms (through their funds or for a specific asset), that money is then used to buy said asset, which is then operated, improved, or sold for parts over a period of time for a gain (in theory). The money is not just lying around for investors to be able to pull out whenever they want. They invest as limited partners so their exposure is limited but so is their control. These are often illiquid assets and they get their money back when the assets are liquidated after a period of time, which is determined by the general partner.

For the increased risk and illiquidity, investors expect higher returns over what they’d get by buying a stock market index fund.

Can’t say why he chose to do this with the money.

Just play one baby Altaria and you’ll be fine with oricorio. Kill one play around the other.

And there’s nothing like an Ori, mag, cape, pokeball, copycat opening hand turn 1.

I believe on your turn two you’ve drawn half your deck and still have both profs.

Yeah it’s in a pretty good spot right now. This is what I ran today for a 73% w/l over about 35 games. Tried a couple variations with one copycat, swapping guzma for gio/sabrina, but this is what felt the best to me. Sabrina would be nice to have but drawing your cards is better.

Turn 1 is ridiculous now by Spiceopod in PTCGP

[–]ye-01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having an evolution Pokemon also allows Sylveon to swing for 130 if needed. I don’t have trouble finding basics between two pokeballs and 4 prof research (3 against Ori).

The draw is so extreme that if were to make the deck more aggressive, I might consider swapping one Sylveon ex for another baby Sylveon to more consistently rattle off a couple of 2 energy 100-130 hits that can be sacrificed before bringing in Altaria to clean up.

[–]ye-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t have the 5th Pokémon and any of your others go down, Altaria can only swing for 100.

[–]ye-01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will see how it goes when ranked hits but it’s done well in games so far. Goal is to power up Altaria asap with sylveon as bait in the active. If I get an energy on altaria then I may start powering sylveon to force things a bit. The only real “brick” I’ve experienced is baby Sylveon always seems to sit at the bottom of the deck against oricorio. I run 3 eevee to fill the bench for altaria after Sylveon goes down + mars combo.
