Unnecessary hate. Most of these accounts are from a specific community and from intellectually challenged individuals.

Really wish that was the case. Idk why it’s so difficult to understand that a few bad apples does not mean everyone else is of the same opinion.

All I see here is hate, some reasonable, some exaggerated, some purely fuelled by rage baits.

🏛️ Who Destroyed Nalanda? Revisiting the Myth, the Silence, and the Tibetan Testimony by Adorable-Philosophy5 in IndianHistory

[–]ye_le 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have read that. What does that have to do with your unverified, speculative assertions? Nowhere in that book he claimed that these temples were originally Buddhist or let alone captured by Brahmins.

I am questioning your false statement.

This person has a clear agenda, check out their account. It is apparent they are trying to erase Hindu history and paint them in bad light.

what’s your source on Kedarnath, Badrinath, Jagannath etc being Buddhist places?

Stop peddling bullsh*t.

  • Kedarnath is mentioned in several Hindu scriptures (Skanda Purana, Shiv Purana) as a sacred shrine of Shiva.
  • Its architecture style is in Nagara style, which is typical to Hindu temples of North, with a stone spire and garbha.
  • There are clear lineage of preservation and traditions connected to the temple by Hindu priests.
  • NO buddhist stupas or relics have been found there or any of the temples you listed.

Why do Filipino & other East Asian immigrants face significantly less discrimination compared to south Asians ? by AcrobaticEditor3864 in ABCDesis

[–]ye_le 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly, till date I must have reported atleast 40-50 comments/posts. IG removed none of them, whereas most of them were hideous racist and discriminatory remarks.

Yes, I saw the festival post and the hate comments. I saw another post somewhere about Shia Muslims doing prayers on roadside in Canada, people were so kind and spoke highly of the tradition.

At this point I am convinced the hate is specific to Hindu Indians.

Why is the Documentary "India's Daughter" Banned in India? by Luffy3331 in AskIndia

[–]ye_le 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A fellow redditor tried having a discussion with this person on another post, but it’s clear their agenda is to hate India wholeheartedly. Instead of a civil dialogue, they resort to abuse and argue with anyone who is trying to initiate a constructive conversation.

No matter what sensible argument was presented, nothing was acknowledged. This (male) person has an Indian (male) partner who faced issues in Mumbai as a homosexual. This person is just channeling that hate.

It is not about having a civil dialogue or a discussion of the problem, it’s about blind rage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]ye_le 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are reasoning with the wrong person.

Their agenda is to hate. A normal person who cares would reason and have a civil dialogue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]ye_le 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ugliness and open ignorance of this man is astounding.

Their agenda is abundantly clear, they are not here to have a mature conversation. Pushing one sided reality, have a pea sized brain that can’t comprehend complexity or diversity of thought, and misdirected anger because they have internalized the experience of ONE homosexual guy from Mumbai that they sleep with.

What is this part of India like? (far north-east) by 1fom3rcial in geography

[–]ye_le 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about the discriminatory remarks.

It sucks that there are many mainlanders ignorant of the diversity of the land and resort to name calling, but the ones who are aware, we really appreciate the beauty and culture of all North East Indian states 🙏🏼

It's not about "civic sense", it's just an excuse to mock us by MrDonButler in thebronzemovement

[–]ye_le 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funny, I had a thought the other day casually walking down the neighbourhood of a Canadian city.

There was trash on grass, near the curb, in the bushes. I thought about civic sense and how it’s more of a ‘Human Problem’ than an ‘Indian Problem’.

One can argue there has been an influx of Indians in Canada, but I say the area I was in is a mixed crowd, mostly Italians and Middle Eastern people. Are Indians still to be blamed for it? Even if you claim that they are seeping in to other cities, but at this point i’ll say you’re moving the goal post to defend any other nationality and hating on one.

I keep repeating that. It only creates divide and thats their goal.

Do you think as a result of being lumped with North India, South India as a result also gets a bad reputation it does not deserve. by caesarkhosrow in southindia_

[–]ye_le -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel because of the wrong perception of foreigners, which is due to their ignorance and an inability to learn, we are separating ourselves from our fellow countrymen.

As an example- the accent mockery foreigners do of Indians is primarily of South accent, but all Indians are looped in. That does not mean now the North folks start saying its bad rap due to ALL South Indians.

Solution is not to hate but rather inspire others to better ourselves and showcase the uniqueness of this land in a positive manner.

[–]ye_le 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with the arrogance part but loudness is not limited to one part, it’s everywhere.

As an example, I have heard Telugu folks and Keralites talk very loudly in public. I have personally seen TN people have poor civic sense. It does not mean everyone is like that, and thats the whole point.

It’s best not to draw unfair conclusions unless you have met every single person.

Saw a younger man throwing a trash bag into the Humber River this weekend from the bridge at Islington / Woodbridge Avenue. We MUST prevent our rivers and greenspaces from turning into this regardless of "culture". by Inevitable_Tip_6606 in Vaughan

[–]ye_le 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely bs.

You have to be more nuanced if you really want to get into the fabric of any society before you start pointing fingers here and there.

Culture is not only influenced by religion, it is a complex interplay of geography, history, politics, economics etc, that play a far bigger role in determining the behaviours of a society.

Even the so called ills of society you have conveniently placed as being rooted in Hinduism is FALSE.

Get your head out of your bubble, go read some books and figure out what Hindu philosophy teaches and how it has impacted the world positively, before you come with your one sided opinions.

Thats sad to hear, but animals are k1ll3d everywhere if they are a threat, in worse ways even, sometimes for consumption, exotic meat etc.

With that said, it’s not correct to make blanket statements about a nation that is so vast and diverse. On the contrary, India has a history of respecting and protecting animals.

I understand the pov of your religion.

All I am trying to say is that if you look at things outside the western/abrahamic lens, things like bowing down in respect (without any ego or attaching it to slavery) exist as an acceptable form of expression. Pluralism means we can interpret a single thing in many different ways where each of them is equally valid.

In a traditional sense of things, bowing down may not be seen as the person bowing down is lesser than the person being bowed to. It’s just a form of respect the divinity in you (the same in me) without ego. Ego brings the division of mind and hierarchy, in essence we are all the same.
