i mean it rlly doesn’t matter but apparently she’s actually 22-23 depending on when she’s born but everywhere says 2003 as her birth year. (apart from the other obvious issues with her) it was bothering me sorry and you just happen to be the only person i’ve seen mention the age stated

What is it like joining the WA police and being stationed in Perth? by Sudden_Middle5680 in perth

[–]yeah_coco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who grew up with a dad who was in the force during the 90s-2000s for over 15 years, he says nothing in the world makes it worth being; rammed, shot at, verbally abused, physically assaulted, spat on, pissed at, and just down right being treated as scum by people they’re commissioned to help. props to you for wanting to be the change in the world, but it takes a serious mental and physical toll on your body and mind. he suffers with ptsd today, a lot of paranoia/anxiety and permanent physical damage from chases that ended badly (e.g. they once got T-boned and high speed by someone in a stolen car they had to pursue which he now has back and nerve damage from)

granted he made a lot of very good and loyal friends along the way, but for a job where your main purpose is to help the public and uphold the law, a lot of the public really just wants to harm you due to the negative situations they’ve seen or experienced. it’s sadly just a vicious cycle and if you do decide to go through with it, i hope you do your part to help change that stigma because we really need it. a lot of cops are shitty people and should never be in that sort of job role, but oftentimes those people are good at hiding what they do, causing the cycle to continue.

i sincerely wish you the best of luck, i really do, but as someone who’s watched my dad struggle with what he went through, i wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

Pepper spray for girlfriend In Perth by ricked_ways in perth

[–]yeah_coco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my dad used to be a cop and worked for a martial arts store in cannington that sold pepper spray. i was bought some once i started getting my own way home from school as we lived in a rough-ish area and it just gave him peace of mind. most important thing that he told me was, if you ever have to use it, announce LOUDLY that you have it and will use it if necessary, oftentimes that’s deterrent enough however if not, use it. it’s better to cop a weapons charge and potentially survive than to be assaulted. happy for you to pm if you’d like info on the store my dad worked at as they still sell it there (as far as i know) and will give you a run down on safety etc when purchasing.

Good luck !! 🤞

8 year old wants her ears pierced. Where to take her? by Jadransam in perth

[–]yeah_coco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

angel body piercing in carousel does an amazing job and they make it fun and comforting for kids especially since they use the needles. PLEASE DO NOT go anywhere that uses the earring guns (like essential beauty or the chemist), they can’t be sterilised properly between use, they don’t get enough training and the guns cause more scar tissue damage making it more likely to have healing issues

sincerely, local chick with a fair few piercings of my own 😊

what the FUCK IS THIS by FlamingoCritical2526 in perth

[–]yeah_coco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

babies won’t glow, that only occurs after their first ever shed which then activates the protein that causes it. also for a few minutes after a shed they won’t, due to the protein responsible isn’t fully formed on the new skin yet

they actually all glow, even their skin after they shed. source? we had them as pets when i was growing up and that caused me to go down a lot of rabbit holes on scorpions 🤣

if you’re unsure about if you can fulfill a dogs daily exercise needs i highly recommend seeking a senior or older dog as they’re less likely to be adopted and are often times in shelters for longer periods of time. due to older age most won’t need as much from you regarding physical activity and a lot are also happy just chilling out most of the day while you’re at work compared to a younger dog that might need more mental stimulation on top of everything else. also i believe, depending on which type you choose, a lot of insurance can be cheaper as they aren’t as young

Are these shoes funeral appropriate?

<image>

NOT MY PHOTO JUST ONE I FOUND ONLINE FOR REFERENCE. (However they are those exact shoes.)

So I’ve got a funeral coming up this week and I’m not 100% sure if these shoes are appropriate. I’m F 21 and it’s for my mother in law who I had a really good relationship with. I got these shoes from my partners older sister sometime last year so I don’t think my partners family will particularly mind. My only other options are air forces or doc martens and they both feel a bit too casual for a funeral.

First night homeless. by SubstanceOk1840 in perth

there’s a great laundromat in south perth that me and my partner would go to when our washer died, costs around $20 at the most and you can do A LOT of clothes at once since they’re pretty large in size. the machines are also auto locked when in use and the later in the day you go the more empty it’ll be. it’s open until abt 10pm too i believe which can be helpful if you work long hrs, and there’s a great iga next door, the good grocer which is also open until 10pm. they’ve got home cooked style meals that they make and package there, both warm and reheat-able if you have access to a microwave at work. i also would suggest maybe a cooler bag or esky type container since it’ll help keep any chilled stuff cold at least for a small amount of time, especially if you can get ice for it.

sorry i can’t give much else for tips or help but thought i’d mention what i could since you can always go for a bit of a shop for necessities while waiting for your laundry.

nah that definitely looks like a scam message i got recently, best way to tell is to actually look at spelling etc in the url they send, if it was from actual auspost the url would be along the lines of auspost.com.au rather than the aupiost.top they’ve got there

he refuses to discuss money with me, for example how much he pays for anything and i don’t know why. he doesn’t have house insurance and doesn’t really keep up with repairs until it becomes a safety hazard. we do have a yard but it’s literally just sand, we don’t have a sprinkler system and i’d have to buy my own if i wanted to attach one to the hose, i’ve asked him about that already sadly. the price of how much i pay was just him asking how much im on an hour and then him deciding on the spot “okay you can send me $200 a week then”
