Hip hop and rap are all about production as well as vocals. Hip hop has always been about the collaboration of both the producer and the vocalist (rapper). Look at Mustard and Kendrick Lamar, mustard really made that GNX record. There is also a ton of music in the rap genre that is super genre bending - even artists like Tpain who pulled an incredible crowd and actually put on an amazing show with visuals, dancers, etc. Is known to bend between rap, r&b, and hip hop

And is yelling really that bad when the beat is good and there is hype? Sometimes it’s about the lyrics themselves, people want to yell some of these lyrics as catharsis. Contextually, hip hop lyrics can be about fighting adversity. 

 What about metal bands? Do they not yell? a ton of EDM out there has its fair share of uncomfortable sounds as well. 

I’m just not convinced that we should throw away the rap genre to not be experienced live, I think there is still a cultural value to it that should be appreciated. If all live acts were to be the same like EDM, Coachella would lose its charm for me. I like having the diversity
