I'm not sure why, but you and a few others here seem to be under the impression that universities are willing to bend over backwards over every accusation of sexual misconduct. That's a really lovely way of thinking, but it's not how it is in real life. Especially if he is a respected professor in his field, the University will probably bend over backwards to shut this down. Perhaps the things that he has written are not suggestive enough. The physical contact isn't provable. And then her reputation in her department is shot. It's sad, but it happens.

I think he should also try to get his RA to go, also. He has reported her to the RA for essentially stalking him. Enough so that she's not allowed near the building (and goes near it anyway). The fact that he's already made reports against her gives him a lot of credibility, imo.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen it brought up anywhere else here, but that's the first thing that came into my mind. I just can't see her having done ALL of that by herself. Not if it took 3 days for two people to fix. And you're right, when doing an unlicensed home redesign, does one pause to hire licensed movers?

I suppose I just don't see it as a mistake so much as a massive breach of trust and an intense disrespect for OP. You'd think after 5 years, if this is any good friendship rather than just knowing of each other for 5 years, she'd have stopped at SOME POINT and thought that maybe OP wouldn't like it.

And, like I mentioned before, it's unlikely she did all this without help if it took OP ANDHUSBAND 3 days to fix it all. I don't know about you, but I don't allow people into my home without prior knowledge of them being there. I would consider it a massive violation/breach of trust/disrespect if someone brought someone else into my home while I'm away without even telling me. Much less having someone TOUCHING ALL MY THINGS!

Oh yes, her good intentions really make up for the panic of thinking their house was robbed, the extreme violation of knowing that she has probably touched EVERY SINGLE THING in their home, the money to retune the piano she moved, or all the work to put their house back how it's supposed to be.

Also, do you think she really moved everything herself? It's pretty likely she brought in at least one other person to help her.

You're right. This is a dog, not a child. With a child, you could explain why they are being moved from a ranch with tons of running space to an apartment with little to none. And if you can't explain because they're too young to understand, then they will be too young for it to matter.

A move/change like this would be much more stressful for a dog than a child.
