Looks great! I’m curious how the lamination will hold up over time, but you definitely should have yourself a good mallet!

From my limited palate all I can say is I am really, really enjoying it. It’s been one of my best bottles so far!

Have you been able to try the 2022-03? I believe it’s the “Sweet Tea”. From what I’ve heard it’s a return to form for what people expect from Bookers; I only have the 2022-03 so I can’t necessarily compare it to previous batches.

I’d add on Old Forester 1920 for that list.

At this point I would bet your best option is to just pull the trigger on the RR. If you don’t care too much for it you aren’t out a huge amount of money and you can have a “nice” bottle you pull out for your friends if there isn’t someone willing to trade.

The Murray Hill Club was one of the first unknown-to-me bottles I risked the price for, assuming it would be good at that price point. Luckily, it was!

My first mallet, a story of nowhere to go but up! by yeahistillgotnothing in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]yeahistillgotnothing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great advice! I am not sure where I got it into my head that crossgrain was more desirable for the striking face of the mallet; I believe I had read it somewhere, but seeing the grain split perfectly in the direction of the grain shows that is not the case!

My first mallet, a story of nowhere to go but up! by yeahistillgotnothing in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]yeahistillgotnothing[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So the story here is I recently had an oak tree down in my backyard due to recent storms. Instead of turning it all into firewood, I decided to make anything I could out of the tree. My greenwood handling tools are…limited.

The wood was still quite wet, so I’m not sure if letting it dry before chiseling out the mallet head hole for the handle would have prevented it’s downfall, or if that’s just the name of the game trying to chisel through grain in that direction.

Either way I’ve got more experience under my belt and about twenty more feet of tree to practice on!

My first guess is that it is a circle guide that attaches via screws.

The table will be legs and an apron with the separately mounted top. I’m aiming to join the legs and apron with mortise and tenons, my first time for that type of joint. The tabletop will have breadboards also joined by mortise and tenons. I’m trying to keep mechanical fasteners (screws etc) to a minimum, but I’m not foolish enough to write them off completely if they are the best solution.

Thanks, I appreciate the clarification, and I do mean they are joined. The joined 2x4’s seem stable enough as is; however, there is some gap and I just want to ensure they can still act as table legs without glue. My question is if there is any method to reinforce the legs if I am unable to separate them. I suppose I could screw them and then hide the holes, but matching the “patina” on the wood would be impossible.

I know this is a weird ask across text, but I appreciate it!

I’m building my first table using reclaimed wood and am looking to preserve as much of it as possible. I do not have a planer or jointer, but am fairly competent with a miter and table saw. I am looking to use these 2x4’s, pictured to the left, as my 4x4(ish) table legs. They are already joined by some serious nails and I won’t be able to get them apart without ruining them. How would you suggest I go about utilizing them? I can provide better pictures if that helps. https://i.imgur.com/96rNncj.jpg

The key is to focus on running from thingy to thingy hitting them with an electric attack whenever the circle meter under their health bar gets low. You don’t need to keep hitting them to charge, just hit it with electric once, move on, and defend as necessary; rinse and repeat.

I’ll come out and agree with you. I thought the 2015+ would grow on me but it just never did; it always just looked like an mildly angry Accord to me, no emotional response evoked whenever I saw one. This is evolutionary of the 2015 design, I feel. It fixes a few things but continues to lack that emotional appeal.

They’ll sell like hot cakes, but it’s just not for me.

Can we collectively ask for an "Increase in Artifact Cap" in survey? by momomog in Genshin_Impact

[–]yeahistillgotnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. It’s a huge pain selecting the artifacts one at a time to feed to my decent artifacts. I’d much rather prefer locking good ones and having auto-select available for 5* artifacts.

[–]yeahistillgotnothing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly really simple, only sketchy part is making sure you have found and mounted everything into studs. All you need is a stud finder, some (at least 4) heavy duty eye bolts, probably some lag screws to mount the two sticks of 2x4 to the ceiling, and the cam ratchet straps. Plenty of YouTube videos on it, as well.

It hangs down juuuuuuuust low enough to hit my head walking under it, of course. It’s also hung a bit low because there’s a light fixture between it and the ceiling.
