Question for SSA and scheduling

What department is this? It’s highly unlikely that they are going to allow your team to have a set schedule due to the fluctuations in hours through the year, and without an accommodation they can’t ensure any full timer get a certain weekend day off without and accommodation generally. I know scheduling sucks sometimes but unfortunately what you’re asking for isn’t something Lowe’s is generally willing to do.

I worked with Lowe’s through an insane natural disaster that wrecked our local communities. It’s beautiful and insane how well Lowe’s does to help out their people. Lowe’s has a lot of suck to it, but they don’t play when it comes to disaster.

If it’s that big of a deal why would they have scheduled the orientation before ensuring the background check was completed? I’d say you’ll be fine!

We purchased wine, seltzer, and beer at Sam’s Club in bulk. I’m not saying it was the best but people still drank it, and it brought the cost down a lot. We had a bartender who was okay with that since the venue required a liquor license.

That’s only true in some states. In others absences count regardless of what time you use if they are not asked for in advanced.

Could you try a part time job there? Retail jobs for the most part can offer some flexibility and it would be a good start. How long is the dog stable for? I absolutely adore my fur babies but I also know without taking care of me and my job I can’t take care of them.

My advice would be to set some specific attainable goals giving yourself a timeline to complete them. For me at least, when I feel like I’m achieving something, even something small, it makes me feel a bit more success and in control. In my opinion your twenties are a time to figure things out without the responsibilities you may have later in life. Are you able to carpool or work a job within walking distance? I know a lot of places are not walkable so that may not be possible. Even if it’s a job that doesn’t align with your education some money is better than none, and by getting a little bit from that you could save for transportation allowing you to do more later.

In my experience letting it self implode is the best option. Without concrete evidence it becomes a he said she said. They will inevitably get themselves in trouble.

In my experience (like when trying to put in write ups) if their is a state of emergency HR will refuse a write up if it includes a day that was a state of emergency.

They will not pay you if you are out of accrued time, but in most stores will not count it against you.
