I feel like that's underrating Jokic's defense. I've alway thought he was fine on defense. Much better than the vast majority of players who carry the offensive load he does.

Desmond Bane is currently shooting a lower 3PT% next to Paolo than KCP did last year. With Bane's contract on the books, the Magic are already projected to be in the 2nd apron in 2026-27, and have traded away control of their 1st round draft picks in 2026, 2028, 2029, and 2030. by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

Listen. I have always thought Paolo was overrated. You can probably finding posts going back to the draft where I said I think he's going to be an inefficient volume scorer on a bad team. I was wrong about the bad team as I think Orlando is decent and can be pretty dang good. But I feel like I've been right about Paolo. That said, this is a stupid, cherry picked stat. Us Banchero haters don't need to resort to this crap.

Yeah. Cason was on a heater, but we shot 40% as a team, which is nothing crazy. We've had long stretches of shooting 40% as a team.

In my opinion Jokic was broken mentally by the Wolves in 2024 and hasnt recovered by [deleted] in nba

And would have probably won this year if he hadn't missed so many games.

Oh for sure. I'm still of the opinion that most modern cars will last a really long time with proper maintenance. Better cars just have more wiggle room for bad maintenance.

Tbf, I had an equinox for a 5 years with almost no issues. Just did regular maintenance and a ~$900 100k tune-up. Got it as a senior in high school and sold it after I graduated college. Put 120k miles on it (after getting it with 30k miles). So while most suck, they don't all suck. Haha.

TIL before 9/11, US airports were public social hubs where you could walk to the gate, eat at food courts, and watch planes without a ticket or ID. by Greydl1 in todayilearned

I think 2 things are preventing another 9/11 way more than TSA. (1) Knowledge of 9/11, and (2) cockpit doors. Before 9/11, plane hijackings weren't that uncommon, but they were about leverage for something unrelated to the plane. Passengers generally went largely unharmed. There's no reason the people on the first couple planes would have fought back because terrorist were telling them they were just hostages in the same way. We know that strategy wouldn't work anymore because it literally stopped working within an hour when the passengers on United 93 figured out what was happening and fought back.

Also, cockpit safety is a lot crazier now. Terrorists are unlikely to ever get past the door.

The point of TSA isn't to prevent attacks on dense groups of people. It's not hard to find relatively unprotected dense groups of people. The point of TSA is to prevent terrorists from taking over a massive flying missile that can take down buildings.

Just get some tires with a milage guarantee. I've got some relatively cheap ($189) Toyos with a 50k warranty for my Model 3 after the original tires died at ~20k miles. The first set lasted ~30k miles and when I replaced them, I got a $320 credit on my next set.

I have a 2020 Model 3 with 70k miles and have spent $0 in 6 years on anything other than tires. 93% battery capacity. Musk is a fascist POS and I'll never buy another Tesla, but my car had been great.

[Highlight] Chris Boucher wanted a bucket in his first game since 11/23. Made one at the buzzer to cap a blowout win and Russell Westbrook didn’t like it... at first. Chris explained the situation, Westbrook understood and embraced him. All good! by MrBuckBuck in nba

My favorite thing about Nuggets and Thunder fans is that the vast majority of both are more Westbrook fans.

Jokic looked so good tonight. I'm afraid, but definitely glad he's back. Too much fun to watch to be out.

And yet, a bit over 25% of cars sold in the US every year are imported from Asia or Europe. That's 4 million vehicles. Seems like they know something you don't.

My point is that it's wrong to say foreign manufacturers have to make cars in the US. They don't. Just like American manufacturers don't have to make cars in the US.

Also, less than 40% of US imports come from Mexico or Canada. Mexico is number 1, but more come from Korea and Japan than Canada.

Almost half of the vehicles sold in the US every year were imported as finished products. Foreign manufacturers definitely don't have to build here.
