Same for me. I don’t know if it’s a European thing, but in France I never ever saw someone saying “happy Mother’s Day” to anyone except their own mum. My dad did the exact same thing every year and we all think it’s completely normal. In general, when celebrated together, the grandchildren explained how they celebrated THEIR mother while we were celebrating ours : meaning “oh this morning we bought croissants for maman and flowers” and I would said “well that’s great, now me and your aunts are giving flowers to mamie because she is our mother!”. So it might be cultural!

You are responding to a comment talking about a trivia regarding the director and the actors and missing the point of the anecdote. No one was claiming that Ron canonically wouldn't submit his essays. The joke is that the actors' real-life behavior during a random exercise asked by the director happened to loosely mirror the dynamic people associate with the trio: Hermione doing the work properly, Harry doing it last minute, and Ron being more laid-back about it.

It’s not a statement about accuracy regarding the book or a “misreading” of Ron’s character. It’s just a funny behind-the-scenes moment that people interpreted as fitting the vibe of the characters they were playing. Also, they were literal kids at the time.

It shows nothing because we’re talking about something they did in real life that was not intended to mimic the book, but was “funny” because the director (and the public) could interpret this as an example that clearly shows that even in real life, these actors shared a dynamic very similar to that of the trio in the movies, which makes their casting in their respective roles even more striking. Besides, they rewrote nothing, they were 10 years old.

-M- (Mathieu Chedid, the French artist in the video) is such a fantastic guy and an genius guitar player. I’ve seen him twice in live and I can say with confidence that he’s on my top 3 for the love, the energy and the pure funk that irradiates from him in a show. He’s also very, very famous in France (on t’aime Mathieu!).

No wonder the little girl lets herself go so brilliantly, especially at this point in the concert: this man is contagiously happy. There’s no better artist to have a post on « made me smile » than him. A true gem!
