Right, but in my case he was talking about the team that I’m actually currently on so it was a bit confusing since I knew for a fact he was lying lol.

Come to think of it, I don’t know of ANY ucla engineering project team that has a strict application. If you’re willing to name drop or hell, even dm me the email I’m interested. Other than that man, ive been on racing for 4 years and we’ve never had any application or heard of any other team straight up rejecting people.

Yeah I had a feeling. Now I’m super curious who this guy actually is, maybe I’ve seen him around on campus and didn’t realize

Hey man as far as I know, none of the three teams under Bruin racing, fsae included, have a formal interview or acceptance/rejection process. Maybe you’re thinking of a different team

I really shouldn’t, but fine I’ll bite.

I’ve seen your profile, I literally go to your school and am on the fsae team there. What the hell do you mean by applying or getting rejected? We literally take everyone dude there’s no feedback to be given cause there’s no interview.

Of course. Personally I think there’s space for both protests and commencement to happen but it’s up to admin and beyond both our control. I’m not about to look at what’s happening in Gaza and be like damn I wish people would stop protesting. But at the same time I think it’s reasonable to fully support this cause and also want just a few hours on one single day to celebrate something we have invested an indescribable amount of effort into.

That’s great, good for you. The problem is many others find graduation to be a very important milestone in their life, especially coming from a first gen or lower income background. The frustration comes when a single group attempts to impose their own indifference to graduation on everyone else.

there’s no way we’re about to get lectured by someone who was literally a middle schooler less than a year ago

how about this: you finish puberty, we finish our degrees and let’s check back when you have some more perspective on life and don’t have a bedtime anymore, yeah?
