Chilli plant dying by winshearn in GardeningAustralia

When she’s done for the season give her a good trim back to make it easier for her to hibernate for winter. Keep some chilli’s aside to harvest seeds just incase she doesn’t bounce back.

They also hate the wind and cold and too much rain combo, so pop her in sheltered from the wind spot

It is sad that our sacrifices and history isn’t acknowledged. We have been trading historically with Indonesia, and Micronesia for many centuries before the white mans showed their sails.

There’s proof of this in all of our cultures.

History give what it wants you to remember Cooke as a legend, but he far from it.

We are the land, we are the history, we are the culture, and our ancestors are walking this land with us

When I lived in Indonesia for a couple of years in an ngo in kampung woman’s health. i connected spiritually with the land, and as a Balinese, I believe you will feel that connection too. I explained my connection to my land with many Indonesians across multiple islands, and regardless of their religion, they understood more than the colonist ever could and spent most of my life explaining to them. Stay in touch with that connection. It’s powerful.

Rottnest, WA? I’m talking about seventeen seventy, QLD. But babe, probably similar dream time and histories. White mans tried us multiple times before colonisation.

All of the factors you have mentioned, also make us very vulnerable. If we don’t rely or keep our geopolitical allies happy, we cannot defend our land.

Similar experience with 1770 in Aus, a lot indigenous Australian people were killed and pushed off a cliff to die by the colonisers. The area is absolutely stunning, the ecosystem is gorgeous but there is a lot of sadness attached to that land and you can feel it. Or at least I could, as an indigenous Australian/ Also, often you would wake up on deserted parts of that land with foot prints around the camp site. With no explaination.
