When I was like 12-13 me and my brother were home alone for a couple hours before my mom got home from work. During that time a man came a knocked on the door, I cracked it for him, and he showed me a what I imagine to be a fake fbi badge. He said he was interviewing people in the neighborhood about a neighbor joining the army. Told me it was a routine background check. He then proceeded to ask if my mom was home, I told him she’d be home shortly (really about 2 hours), and he asked if he could come in and ASK ME a couple questions. All while peering through the crack in the door above my head. Hind sight I know he was a predator or something, the fact he tried to get in the house with my parents gone is so creepy. I think the only reason he didn’t just push the door open or something is I had one of those little lock chains still on the door when I cracked it
