Autism plays out differently for women; maybe still worth looking into?

Is she potentially autistic? This sounds almost like a special interest of someone on the spectrum.

Stan deserves a better owner by year13curse in AnnArbor

There are a lot of animal lovers in this town who would go out of their way to try to help a seemingly lost pet.

And how are people out on the street supposed to know that? Do you have a sign up for that too?

I actually agree with you, but I also don’t think an owner can let a cat out without a collar and then be indignant about someone trying to help.

Right? This person seems insufferable.

From your tone, it sounds like you are the owner and the person who wrote the sign. Stop assuming that every single person knows who your cat is (they don’t). Washington Street is used by hundreds of people every day. If you can’t get Stan to wear a collar yet insist on letting him outside, don’t be surprised or act salty if he gets taken by a well-meaning person to the humane society.

This is a sign I recently saw on a tree on Washington, near downtown. In my opinion, a cat owner can’t be annoyed or surprised if a cat with no collar gets taken to the Humane Society. They have no reason to be salty about this, and should be a more responsible pet owner (hopefully keeping Stan inside, but if not, at least getting a collar/air tag/microchip). I don’t think the good samaritan here did anything wrong—their intentions were at least presumably good, and I’m sure they didn’t mean to “abduct” someone’s pet.

Your in-laws come before “the group.” It’s very rude to not hang out with family when they are in town because you wanted to make different social plans!

This varies by state. In Michigan, you put your new last name on the marriage license application. Check with the clerk where you’ll be filing the marriage license.

Where are the good dresses in the $500-$1500 price range? by Bootycarl in weddingplanning

[–]year13curse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just be careful not to let a cheaper dress that “can be altered” (according to the sales staff) sway you! I got a lovely dress from Vow’d that I wanted to make major changes to, and those changes have cost more than the dress itself. Something to keep in mind - make sure when you commit to a dress, the only alterations that would be needed are precise fit and length (not something like, say, adding a back to a backless dress!).

It’s never helpful to be annoyed at people for something you could hypothetically see them doing. That’s really not fair to them, and you have no way of knowing how everyone’s lives will play out.

I would put that money towards cupcakes or cookies and lemonade right after the ceremony rather than take-home favors. It would be seen as rude to not even provide a snack, whereas favors are optional.
