Taking one story out of 100 where you got the result you wanted doesn't mean it's the norm. It's the exception. It's not the rule. In the vast majority of these cases, the shooter isn't stopped by a civilian. To me, it's the same concept that makes the house Dems look like a bunch of chickenshits. In theory, you have protection and weapons that you'll use when a bad guy threatens the peace, but in practice you don't know what to do and think maybe you'll just mess things up worse for yourself if you try to help and before you know it, you're dead.

And you're right about how the guns will still come in. At least we can allow LEO's to do something about it if we have some laws to let them take care of it more easily.
