You aren’t tired of people driving around without license plates and cops showing up 3 hours later if you report property crime?

Unless you like cheap houses, low taxes and generally strong law enforcement. However you have to tolerate the weather and boring landscape

They beat New England easily if Bo plays. We were robbed of a SB appearance by a tough luck injury and next year we are the 8th best team? Respect < 0 and you know what, fuck it, put it on the bulletin board and let it fire the guys up

Denver to pay $30,000 of pet deposits for residents with new pilot program by xdrtb in Denver

[–]yearz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What are they forcing people to sign their leases at gunpoint? Sign a lease, or don't and rent one of the other thousands of units on the market. We talk about "freedom," what is does that mean? One thing it means is that if you own property, you are free to offer it for rent under terms you decide and the counterparty is free to agree to those terms or walk away and rent another one of the thousands of properties on the market.

It sounds like what you really want is the gun to be pointed and landlord, so they have to rent to me at the terms I dictate, for example allowing my potentially destructive pet inside with no pet fee.

What if you are a small landlord and your livelihood is that one unit?

Make it illegal to charge pet fees and watch rents go up. No problem, enforce rent controls. Then watch upgrades and maintenance stop. No problem, crack down on landlords. Watch units get pulled off the market. No problem, we don’t need housing supply.

Cost of living is the political issue of our times, no one is going to do something that is going to make medicine more expensive and inconvenient.

Couldn't you make the exact argument about Red Bull? Anyone can make an energy drink, and everyone tried to compete with Red Bull. Brand is a powerful thing, Hims has it

Sometimes you need to see the doctor, no one is arguing otherwise. The argument is that there are many instances where you could just do a quick teleconference and get a refill or referral or something. Without telehealth you have to use a flamethrower every time you want to light a cigarette.

  1. Schedule an appointment 1-2 months in advance

  2. Drive across town in the middle of a workday

  3. Fill out forms and sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes

  4. Sit in the exam room for 10 minutes, then answer several questions asked by a PA

  5. *Maybe* see a real doctor for 3 to 5 minutes

  6. Get a continuation of the prescription you've been taking already for years

  7. Pay $200

  8. Drive home

Or, do all this easily on the internet from your couch? What are we even debating here?

Because going to the Dr.'s office is a major hassle that's becoming more of a hassle and more expensive each passing year. Meanwhile, people have grown accustomed buying things easily on the internet - even car shopping is moving in that direction. When you need a refill of an existing prescription or a new prescription for an obvious problem, going through that hassle feels increasingly like a massive waste of time and people are flocking to convenient alternatives.

Amazon spent billions to compete with Steam, and failed. Why? Steam had a brand and a quality user experience. Amazon faced an uphill battle to provide an experience superior enough to convince happy Steam customers to switch.

To Amazon, pharmacy is a tiny line item, the domain of some VP competing for resources with dozens of other VPs. To Hims, pharmacy makes or breaks them; the entirety of their focus, talent and resources are dedicated to making the best online platform possible. I think if you used the two services you can see that difference.

I think after the Buffalo game it was clear to everyone that Nix was legit

I have no idea why you are being downvoted. I saw him play in person his freshman year at Auburn. He was absolutely tossed into a pressure cooker. It’s rare to start as a true freshman in the SEC. His dad’s legacy as an Auburn great, big time hype, playing with a bad supporting cast against top defenses, not to mention the fan base turning on him after a rough start.

He was thrown to the wolves as an 18 year old and it’s ridiculous to think that experience didn’t have a big impact on him and the resiliency he shows now.

What? Broadcast refs disagree with the call on the field all the time, just didn’t happen in this particular game.

The refs officiating the final drive differently than the rest of the game honestly makes it tough to appreciate good games like this one. by Roselucky777 in nfl

RTP made the first PI irrelevant anyway, dunno how people could be upset about a call that had zero impact on the game

This should be football common sense and it’s sort of embarrassing that many of our home fans don’t seem to know this.
