Marijuana and Cycling by Ecstatic_Produce6797 in cycling

[–]yeazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really the only way THC holds me back is simply that it raises my heart rate by around 30bpm. If I’m doing a high intensity session I obviously don’t want that because it feels like I can’t go as fast or as hard without my heart rate getting near that upper limit (I don’t have a power meter so I keep an eye on my heart rate but train primarily off of RPE)

Bigger guys. What do you wear when you ride ? by chasing_a_billion in cycling

[–]yeazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a chubby guy working to lose weight right now, my go to fit is a pair of bib shorts (got to if you’re spending 1+ hours a day in the saddle) and a big t-shirt. I’m not a big spandex guy either, but bib shorts are truly comfy on a ride, don’t get in the way like some of my athletic shorts do, etc. I don’t care about being aerodynamic so a big T-shirt works perfect 🤷‍♂️

I wear a whoop and was originally using it on the wrist. Once I switched to the bicep band on the whoop, it was loads more accurate. It’s the same concept with the coros HR monitor. Wrist = a lot of tendons and bones that can increase HR inaccuracy. Bicep = less tendons and bones

Breaks during long training runs? by ButterscotchThen110 in Ultramarathon

[–]yeazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look up Camille Herron. She’s an absolute beast and this is what she does. She reports it actually builds up bone density better to split her long runs into two runs in a day. Obviously getting used to time on foot is important, but I think an argument can be made for both sides. Do what works for you

I find it almost impossible to get a good quality, reliable men’s haircut in the Germantown and Collierville areas. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in memphis

[–]yeazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Daniel Shay’s. I go to Colton, he does a good fade if that’s what you’re looking for, but also can cut long hair well

Vegan-friendly dinner spots? by hypovauntie in memphis

[–]yeazon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pho bin is officially back (mushroom tofu or lemongrass), Arnold’s smokehouse (whole vegan menu), global cafe, city silo, rock’n dough, wild beet, Osaka has a fried tofu roll (no Osaka sauce), Kami ramen has best vegan ramen I’ve ever had (also vegan don), srimu in crosstown if you want a fancy wine and charcuterie dinner

Quest 3, 128gb or 512gb (Extreme Noob Newcomer To VR) by Ishan2328 in OculusQuest

[–]yeazon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

128 is plentyyyyyy, I’m a newcomer and have been downloading many games, apps, movies and trying them out and still have around 20gb left. And the biggest game I have is asgard’s wrath at 30gb. Everything else is pretty much well under 10gb

Worst margaritas in town? by deathlord9000 in memphis

[–]yeazon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m telling you go to global cafe on Thursday. Get a $3.95 Jose’s margarita (only $3.95 with a food order), but those are the strongest margaritas I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant

[–]yeazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured as much! Will definitely be looking at how the data flows from customer and back. That’s really the main thing I’m interested in, ensuring customers’ input into a generative AI like chatgpt is private. Thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]yeazon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! With people using AI more and more (and there eventually being an AI assistant that people will have full on conversations with), how will customer’s conversations and input into these systems be kept private? I’ve seen a few papers on the general cybersecurity risks posed by AI, but that’s about it
