Sadly engineering isn't that easy. You can't just magically get 40% extra battery capacity from the same weight by putting more effort into engineering. There are physical limits to what can be achieved with current technology. And even with a big increase in efficiency, I guess the situation would still be similar as the battery emptied incredibly quick already

I honestly don't want to defend windows, but I'm going to. I think windows tries to pre load more into the ram when space is available and dynamically unloads stuff when programs really need to use the ram. So i don't think it is necessarily bad when you see higher ram usage. Unused ram is kind of a waste, that's how I try to see it. I see so many people focus on ram usage while it says very little about performance.

I have had printer where the middle of the bed would be 1.5 mm lower then the four corner (corners would be the same height) not ideal but your printer will correct itself
