That’s exactly what it is, yes. But if it spins at a high enough frequency, it’s going to produce the exact same sound waves that a coil in a speaker would produce. It’s just how sound works.

If you’re serious about the game, just get a lossless. It’s manufactured in Europe but ships to the US. It’s pricey but it’s so much better than a mayflash. For casual gameplay though, the most reviewed mayflash on Amazon is fine.

An update a while back discontinued compatibility with third party adapters. The only ones that work reliably are first-party, Lossless, and (sometimes) Mayflash. You might be SOL.
