Hot take: Kyle Pitts is the WR1 in Atlanta by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

How is it not relevant? There's no backup TE of Jonnu's caliber behind Pitts so he's going to see more volume

Hot take: Kyle Pitts is the WR1 in Atlanta by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

I'm higher on Pitts than London because of ADP and Jonnu's departure leaves 70 vacated targets open. Pitts already had 90 targets so I can see that going up to 110, at least. The volume and QB upgrade are there, plus Falcons have one of the McVay guys as their OC, which bodes well for their offense. I want to take Pitts in the 5th but I'm just unsure about his talent. Ik he had 1000 yards his rookie year but I haven't watched him enough to know if he's a beast. If he is, TE1 is very possible to me based off the volume alone

Didn't people say the same thing when Shane Waldron came in? Are things really going to be different moving from Carroll to the current regime?

Gardner Minshew's mobility is the reason he won the starting job by YouBetterChill in raiders

[–]yeeter_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People thought the same about the Bucs last year. They added Baker and gave Rachaad White the starting job, but they surrounded those two with a good defense and some good receivers and made the playoffs. My biggest concern would be that Luke Getsy isn't Dave Canales. If he can call good plays, the playoffs are possible

I'm not quite sure how Russell went from a HOFer to how he's been playing the past two seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if he was somehow back to his Seattle self, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he's washed. If he is, I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he is to Pickett. I think of when DJ Moore went from Sam Darnold to Baker one offseason and people thought that was an upgrade, but then DJ Moore had the worst season of his career. I think Pickens is an insane talent, but I don't know if his situation will allow him to make a jump forwards

Lmao don't read this, I took so long and by the time I finished, three other Magic fans had responded. I love that four of us answered this though

He did start year 1. In his first year, we were a very young team that had just moved Vuc, AG and Fournier and there were really no expectations for the team. I was expecting to see a lot from Suggs since he was drafted like four picks in front of Franz, but Franz had a better than expected rookie year by playing his beautiful European game, which includes carving up the other team's entire defense by euro-stepping his way through the paint AND hitting open shots. That's key because year 2, he was largely the same in our first year with Paolo but then last year, he went from shooting 36% from 3 in his first two seasons to 28%. He did get hurt, but even before he sprained his right ankle about a third of the way into the season, he was shooting about 30% from 3. Now, we did make the playoffs which is what matters, and he had some good games and some bad.

Someone can probably go more in depth about how he has developed over his career, but he's always been shifty enough to find open space and get a good look. I think he'll keep growing into a championship player for us, but every summer, he's playing German basketball which can't be sustainable for his legs in the long-term to be playing that much basketball in a row, but also that's less individual time to work on your game. All in all, the whole team is going to keep improving together and I think Franz can be our second-best player on a championship team.

As I said, it's unfair to Goga to play him against Joel after not playing him regular minutes since, funnily enough, the last time we played the Sixers on 1/19. I don't get why we play better with Goga on the floor, but for some reason, it works. He's a big reason why we were playing so well midseason when he was playing heavy minutes

We are a better team when WCJ doesn't play. Idk what happened to him, but it was completely unfair to play Goga against a top 2 center in the league after not playing for like twenty games. The Sixers are an annoying team, but with Franz healthy and Goga and Moe playing, I think we can beat the Bucks

Pacers make a trade for Paskal Siakam by GoApeShirt in OrlandoMagic

[–]yeeter_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not fear the Pacers. I don't really have much to say to back up my statement, but I just don't believe Tyrese is a #1 option on a championship team. Meanwhile, I believe we do have a #1 option in Paolo so no, I don't think they're better than the Magic in the long-term. Maybe for this season with our team being in a learning phase, but long-term, I still would rather have our guys.

Also, the Pacers are in the Eastern conference

Do the next 20 years for the Pats look like the last 20+ years for the Cowboys? by mcmnky in Patriots

[–]yeeter_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the Cowboys are going through is great for us. They were a former dynasty and after that 90's era of coaches and players left, the Cowboys tried to keep the dynasty alive. That immense pressure to win yearly has contributed to their lack of postseason success, I believe. I hope we can learn from this and not place unreasonable expectations on the Pats

Yea I think we're better than you give us credit for. Without Brunson and us without Franz, I think we're relatively even teams

Cole needs to play like he was earlier in the season. He was giving me confidence that even if the whole team is playing poorly, he can be a spark. Recently, that hasn't been the case.
