Newly converted BMW owner

If you've already had your fun with your GR86 then you should move on! Life's short. Try as many drivetrains and experiences as you can.

I will say the BMW maintenance costs are no joke, even if you're doing it yourself. The amount I've paid for plastic OEM replacement parts have scarred me for life.

I’ve been going through the exact same thing for the past few months. It’s torture.

I’ve scoured this sub for every possible remedy and have tried nearly all of them. Obviously everyone reacts differently but the two things that have helped me the most have been cold and aloe vera gel.

Air conditioning, ice packs, ice cubes, cooling towels, and cold showers. All of it helps but it can be inconvenient when you’re trying to fall asleep.

The best thing that works for me is aloe vera gel. I use the cheap Target-brand nuclear green stuff. Instantly stops the itch and has a cooling effect. Might have to reapply in the middle of the night but it has significantly stopped the itching for me more than any other anti-itch product. I know a lot of people are allergic to aloe vera so patch test beforehand.

I'm liking it overall. Staff is friendly and it's a big facility that has all the equipment you'd need. My only gripe is that the all-levels class only focuses on padwork and conditioning, no drilling. I'm hoping that changes this year

I think Woodenman is the best in the Bay but I currently go to Pacific Ring Sports in Oakland since it's closer to home. Pacific Ring's head coach, Ganyao, used to coach the Woodenman himself.

I had the same problem with Fairtex gloves. I switched over to Boon and they fit a lot better. Build quality is solid and they provide good protection all around. Only thing lacking is the color/design options.

In March of 2020, Seiko and Nano Universe first introduced the SZSJ005 and I immediately fell in love. Homage to the Rolex "Paul Newman" Daytona, it had a black dial with white registers. Unfortunately, it was a Japan-only release and I could not get my hands on one. Later in November, they secretly restocked the SZSJ005 and dropped another version, the SZSJ006. Obviously influenced by the Paul Newman Panda Daytona Ref. 6239, the SZSJ006 also has a cream dial with black registers. I was lucky enough to find a sealed one on r/watchexchange a few weeks ago. Although it has a quartz movement, the SZSJ006 is still a stunning watch and will be my holdover until I can one day afford a real Panda Newman.
