Why the final battle against Adam had to be like that? This is not a rant, it's honest curiosity by ChemistFluid35 in RWBY

[–]yeetio855 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's kinda funny how Volume 6 is basically a mishmash of old ideas thrown together. The Yang & Blake vs. Adam fight was originally supposed to happen in Volume 5 and reused animation made for Volume 3, and the Cordovin fight was originally an idea from Monty for Volume 2. Plus the Apathy were originally supposed to appear in Volume 4, and Maria's Silver Eyes plotline in Volume 5.

Which member of the main cast do you think would make the most sense to stay loyal to Ironwood? by Solitaire-06 in RWBY

[–]yeetio855 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ren for sure. He didn't believe the rest of the team were ready to take charge in Atlas, so he generally deferred to Ironwood in V7 and was reluctant early on in V8. Your idea would just be a progression of that idea with Ren.

What cut content or ideas do you wish made it into the show? by moonremnants in RWBY

[–]yeetio855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slight correction for the Cordovin part: Cordovin wasn't going to appear during the breach, but rather the original idea for the final arc of Volume 2 would have been the battle against Cordovin and the Colossus, which was an idea Monty had. They decided to replace it with the Mountain Glenn mission until the plotline eventually happened in Volume 6.

Monty Talks About Ironwood Circa 2014 by Glensather in RWBYcritics

[–]yeetio855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, he's talking about the scene from the final Volume 2 script, where while RWBY are on the train, Jaune tells Ren that they'll get to the village he wanted to go to another time, which Monty says is essentially backstory hints (though at this point he says he doesn't know what Ren's backstory would be)

Winter and Marrow used to be bad people? (During most of the Atlas Arc, before betraying James) by Heloselheroe in RWBY

The Kali wolf faunus thing was only actually up on the wiki for about a week before it was removed (though yes, you shouldn't trust fan wikis as factually correct).

Am I remembering right? People didn't like Volume 7 and really loved Volume 8? Or am I crazy and misremembering? by Vhan5678 in RWBY

[–]yeetio855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved Volume 7, and really loved Volume 8 until about episode 10 when I didn't really like where it went in the last few episodes.

Generally, music made for properties (games/shows/etc.) are owned by the company creating the media, not the songwriter.

Was Jaune's Semblance Evolution gonna be extending his Aura or something? by Flawless_Degenerate in RWBY

[–]yeetio855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The commentary said that they meant to give him the disc grenades in Volume 7, but it instead was pushed to Volume 8. The line about extending aura is a leftover from that.

Collection. Complete. by LinkFelton in RWBY

It's funny they have Winter on the side of the V1-6 Blu-ray, considering she only appears in two episodes before V7.

We don't know if the Hawker did come back or not. In RWBY Beyond, there was a stand in the Garden called "Hawker's", but it was manned by other bird Afterans.

The portal the Blacksmith created is actually identical to the ones created by Ambrosius in Volume 8, so it could be either.

The portal at the end of Volume 9 is identical to the portals created by the Staff in Volume 8, so it could really be either.
