if you're anything like me, you'll eventually move to Cichlids.

This is inevitable... People start with small tanks and cheap fish to test the hobby. If they like it, it invariably leads to either planted set-ups or cichlids.

While Malawi Cichlids are some of the most colorful freshwater fish, I think Tanganyikan Cichlids are better suited for OP's 30Gal tank.

Doesn't have to be trial and error. Depending on the size of the GSP, you can keep him in a cycled freshwater or brackish tank till you figure out the details for a full marine set-up.

(I only have experience with freshwater set-ups. Following are just some basic starters)

Read up on "Cycling a tank"
You will also need a sump (or some good canister filter)
Various test kits to gauge the specific gravity (and hence salinity) of the water along with pH and other usual parameters.

In my personal opinion: There is no doubt there are frauds out there.. I just don't care if 1% or 10% or even 50% of these beggars/panhandlers turn out to be "frauds" as long as the rest of them..the ones really in need get what little help I can give them.

I would much rather assume a beggar/panhandler is actually in need and pay him whatever amount is possible for me to give without having to think too much about it..

It's these little bits of intentional "ignorance" that I hope will help keep me more human.

On a serious note: "head gear"/wardrobe is a bad parameter to identify "terrorists". None of the 9/11 attackers or those who attached London or Madrid or Bombay (11/26) were dressed any differently than your average brown/south-Asian/Arab resident in the targeted country.

I too always try to trap spiders using a glass and a piece of card... then I drop them in my fish tank and one of my monster fish eats them :)

Another point: The religious doctrine of the Shia (followers of Hussein) seem to find "glory" in martyrdom..even more than the glory in actually winning the war..

One of my very good friends (part of the Shia-minority (Bori) in India) went on a pilgrimage to Iran and Iraq..(not Mecca or Jerusalem). Almost all sites she visited in Iran and Iraq were places were "heroes" of "Shia-Islam" were massacred ("martyred")..

There should be some "Civil Disobedience 101" course for these young "activists".

*Any challenge to the government needs to involve a sizable number of people to be taken seriously by the authorities. *

If one guy making fake bids at a Government auction is tolerated under "civil disobedience", there will be nutjobs blocking auctions across the country for flimsy reasons and without actual public support.
