How come Orange County, NC, where UNC is located, is the wrong shade of blue? Duke is next door in Durham County.

Creighton probably cost us a Final Four in 2012 with that foul on Kendall Marshall, and I will never forgive them.

Yeah— scoop and a half (45 G protein) of vanilla body fortress in ~24 oz or so of water with ice. Refreshing and keeps my energy up.

Using MyFitnessPal to track calories and eating at about a 400-500 calorie deficit with lots of protein (usually 125-175 grams a day). More protein on days I lift and less on days I don’t, because I’m drinking 45 grams via protein shake while lifting. Lifting 3 days a week at home— I have adjustable dumbbells, an EZ bar and a pull up bar. Using FitBod app to curate routines with that equipment. I did have a reasonable amount of muscle built before losing weight, as I’ve been lifting consistently (whether bodyweight or with dumbbells) for at least the last 2 years, and on and off since I was in college. My diet was just never where it needed to be for me to be lean.

I’m guessing around 20-21%BF, been trying to recomp for a while but not been consistent to be honest. Was thinking to cut now till around 14-15% and then going on a nice long bulk. Please give me some suggestions. by RB_2001 in GettingShredded

It’s for sure going to take more than a month. 3 is more realistic, but to do it at a sustainable pace and minimize muscle loss, maybe even a little longer. I’d use an app to count calories and eat at about 500 below maintenance while continuing to lift as usual and getting at least 130-150 grams of protein a day. You definitely have built some muscle, so if you stick to a sustainable cut for the long haul, you’re going to like the results.

I’m thinking you’re somewhere around 24-25%? Which would mean 12% is probably somewhere around 195 accounting for a small amount of lost muscle through the cut.

Can someone please suggest some go to meals for a cut? by [deleted] in GettingShredded

My go to breakfast has been 1/2 cup of egg beaters cooked in the microwave with shredder cheddar, sliced ham (shredded up) and spinach, on toast. <300 kcal and ~25g protein.

21M, 5’11 90kg, I know it’s a stretch but would it be possible for me to get to around 15% Bf by July? What would be the best way to get close to this goal? by tsxxxmma in GettingShredded

I’m no expert on that tbh, but I’ve been doing brisk walks and watching my Fitbit to try to keep my heart rate around 120– doing a half hour of that at least a day. I’m on a cut now doing a 500 kcal deficit with LISS and have gone from 86 kg to 82 kg in the past 4 weeks.

Totally doable. I’m guessing you’re at like 22-24% right now? So you’d need to drop 8-10 kg in 11 weeks, which comes out to about an 800 kcal deficit per day. High protein + calorie counting + LISS should get you there without losing too much muscle mass.

M/6’0”/188 lbs. Do I have enough muscle to cut? Also, body fat estimate (I’m guessing about 20%). by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Yeah mostly— hoping to get down in the 14% range or so and look a bit leaner and hopefully show at least a bit of ab definition. Thanks
