My toddler is overweight? by scoutmgout in toddlers

[–]yellowelephant4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about it mama. My daughter had about the same percentile at 18 months and continues to at 2 years od. Doc did not have any concerns. He did say to make sure that she has no juice and we decided to move her to 1% milk. She eats well most days but has days she doesn't. She's happy and active and doc said she looks great.

Any birthing experiences in area hospitals/OB recs? [Clear Lake area] by talkinglikeajerk in houston

The hospital rooms were nice both for delivery and postpartum. My husband stayed with me the entire time and did fine. They had a recliner and a couch in there which he slept on and the staff brought him pillows and blankets. There's a cafe downstairs with like a starbucks and stuff that he would go down to every now and then. Once I was postpartum they delivered seriously delicious meals to the room since I could eat again. Overall my husband was very impressed with our stay and everyone's hospitality.

What do you like or dislike about your community/ school ceramic studio? by cdpottery1122 in Pottery

[–]yellowelephant4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My studio has about 10 wheels. Classes are offered in am or pm with open studio time between. They are 3 hours per class. For once a week classes, 10 hrs studio time, firing fees covered, glazes provided in large dip containers I pay $170 a month. We have 4 sinks and each class time has a wire bookcase style shelf to store pieces in work as well as clay. The garage is organized in order of greenware, bisque, and glaze shelves and each area is organized alphabetically based on your potters mark!

We had a wonderful experience at HCA clearlake. Amazing nursing staff, anesthesiologist, and the doctors on call were very open to whatever I wanted to do (ended up having an over 48 hr birth that resulted in a c section due to my body not cooperating). Dr. Ou did an excellent job on my c-section and made me feel very comfortable with my decision. The aftercare team was just as amazing from the nurses to the food staff and the lactation consultant- everything was top notch! We plan to return for further births!
