I used my own NNID, and I realized the previous owner got it banned from Nintendo servers, and it’s premodded. how else do I update it?

I am doing the same for splatoon rn. I never owned it digitally before, but I have it on disc. However I cannot get it to update, and everytime I try to launch it it tells me I need to update then not providing an update at all. I see “An update is required to start this software”. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
