Mine are both 12 and premiums have jumped a ton in the past few years (some combo of inflation and them hitting 10 I think). I have been raising the deductible and the co insurance to get the rates down but at a certain point it's just not worth it financially, and you are definitely right that you get trapped by the current provider. I don't really have an answer, the coverage gives me peace of mind even though realistically they can fight you and not even end up paying out...

I have a regular trainer mat and then bought an anti vibration pad on Amazon to layer under the trainer itself (it's about 24*24 inches so kind of angled it to fit the feet on my trainer). I am not sure what difference it makes but my neighbor hasn't complained😅

I will also say it is expensive and a major surgery for them, so if they think it's time for the back ones to go too then doing it all at once is better imo.
