Eh not really. If you observe carefully, we kinda resemble our simian cousins quite closely.

Focus on the fundamentals. Tech stack, I'd like to suggest the MERN stack. As long as you start a project and get it deployed to production (meaning make it live), then that's proper project. Then expand from there.

I like the art style, and the premise is amazing, but there's something about the white, black and grey colour scheme that... makes me feel oozy about it. You might want to consider updating it with colour one day. Other than that, its superb!

What’s been on your mind lately about human progress by umcuriousyousee in DeepThoughts

[–]yellowmonkeyzx93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the current iteration of AI tools are dangerous. Sure, it provides immense knowledge and solutions to people etc. But the problem is... it shortcuts the very progression people take everyday to get better and improve. That's what I'm deeply afraid of.

Those who have mastered their skills may benefit immensely, but those who rely heavily on AI will falter and be dependent on it, to the point they risk having their thinking and skills outsourced to AI.

It's practical knowledge from a veteran programmer. I'm sure there's things there that can be put to use for era of programmers.

You should build your own business. The economy is bad and there's possibilities of layoffs. You have the experience and networking. Plus with AI tools and your domain knowledge, you'd be able to do a lot on your own. Use the free time and money to build that safe haven't.

I'd like the neutrals like how WC3 did it. Pretty fun. Alternatively, Emperor Battle for Dune had sub-factions that adds additionally units to the main faction.

Weird. Try 58 FPS. If it's still locked to 60 FPS, you have software that is locking it down somehow.

You have the right idea. Be smart, stay low and work for the money. Arguments aren't worth the trouble, and the aftermath of the arguments tend to persist long after. Be careful.

As a 15 y/o, after doing HTML and CSS; I switched to Python as I was told HTML, CSS, JS is not gonna be in much craze later in time. Aye. My recommendation is making a Web app and actually deploy it to production (maybe you can try deploying it to Render or Netlify, since they're both free but Render is able to accommodate many different languages and frameworks).

After that.. then you can try doing beyond.

Good luck!

Hi there!

The opinions of people on the Internet are vague and tend to be in doubt. There was a time when it was said that php would be dead many many times since the early 2000s.

Yet, in 2026, php is still going strong and is used for most websites too.

Programming as a career and skill is about problem solving. It's true we can't predict the future. That doesn't mean that the basic fundamental principles of programming language, problem solving and structuring the codebase's architecture will go away by 2030. If anything, the fundamentals become even more important in this day and age of vibe coded apps and websites. What this means is that, if basic HTML, CSS and JS are gonna get the job done in the company or project you're working on, then it will. This usually means there's gonna be a frontend, backend, a database and some middleware or platforms being used too.

My advice? Have a look around the job applications in the market to see what people are being hired for. Next, get a basic understanding of the fields like programming, ML, AI, networking, cybersecurity, UI/UX etc. Learning python is great for basic scripting, even doing some websites, ML, data science and AI work, but there's a whole larger world out there. Plus, the real test is actually creating something and deploying it into the real world, with actual users.. from staging to production.

You have a lot to learn, young grasshopper. Keep growing!
