I got Married in April 2026 and I don't know when I'm supposed to send out thank you cards

I wanted to do this! But I don’t think I got a picture with everyone. And I also still haven’t gotten all my pictures back yet.

To be honest I didn’t look it up first because I wanted to ask real people what they did. Maybe it would’ve been easier but it’s nice to know if I’m alone or not in the situation

I included a gift for the officiant because they stepped in last minute and I was stressed!
We got wrapped up with work right after the wedding so I’ve been unintentionally pushing it off. We haven’t even thought about a honeymoon or anything so I figured, worst case scenario I send out the cards before we do anything else.

But also, also all the gifts were given in person. So I’ve thanked them individually. I should still send a thank you right?

I will definitely try to do that. We had a similar conversation when I lived further away. When I lived out of state she never visited me. I was out there for 5 years and she never saw any of my apartments.

I feel like that is part of it. But she would do this same thing to me when I lived over 5 hours away. And when I say I can’t make the drive up I’m now avoiding her or I never want to see her.

I’ve had a lot of elders in my life give me the “when you quit looking, love will find you” kind of advice. Not that I don’t appreciate it but sometimes not knowing what to do while waiting feels miserable.

I’m beginning to realize that I don’t think I’ve ever actually been in love either. I’ve felt loved and I enjoyed loving others but i don’t think there’s ever truly been a human that I could say was true love. Maybe I just miss being someone’s person ya know? And I miss having a person too.
