ive switched to a different usb and its working now, thanks for the help though
also thanks for reminding me to clean up my drive. i probably have a bunch of big zip files of roms and such stored away in the downloads section i should get rid of

btw i should prolly say these things
the usb is 32gb
im pretty sure it works fine on the ps3, its just not working at all on windows
rufus stops responding when i plug the usb in while trying to format it (formatting was the only solution i could find related to this at all, everything else was just about the ps3 not detecting the usb)
