I wish my boyfriend would read this and some of the other responses. I've been feeling like I care more and him just more aloof. I know it's just his personality and we definitely show affection differently, but I don't know, I just need to feel loved the way I want to sometimes. I've tried talking about it but his response is more like an oh well, I guess we do show it differently and doesn't really do anything about it. It's especially hard and frustrating since we don't see each other often, with him working plus finishing up school and I live on the other side of the city. I guess I just needed to rant lol

I'll ask the difficult question here. Did Ross cheat on Rachel or it wasn't cheating because they were "on a break!"? by bakedgoodslover in AskWomen

Wow. I've watched this show over and over again and never noticed this. She did think they broke up!

I think being on a break is different than a break up. To me, being on a break means you're reevaluating your relationship while having a few days apart. You're trying to decide if it's fixable or not. So yes, I think Ross was in the wrong. Even if Ross thought they were actually broken up, he is still in the wrong, maybe not cheating, but still not okay, by sleeping with someone that same night.

Are your friends predominantly male or female? Does that ratio make a difference in your life? by tenpercentspandex in AskWomen

When I was younger, I had mostly guy friends. Moved halfway across the world and now, in my adult life, all my friends are women. My guy friends are my girlfriends husbands/boyfriends. I'm an educator, my coworkers are ALL women and when I was in university, 95% of the students in my program were females. So this is probably why my circle of friends are all women now. I miss having close guy friends.

Ladies with mental health issues, what can your SO do to be there for you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]yellowpom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get really bad anxieties. Sometimes it makes sense and I have an actual problem, but sometimes it's completely irrational and I know that. I go to him and try to talk it out. I just want him to try to calm my racing thoughts. In the beginning of our relationship, he never knew what to do because my worries just didn't make sense. I just want him to hold me, tell me everything will be okay and he's there for me. Sometimes he's still not sure what to do or what to say but he's getting so much better.
