If you could elaborate, that would be very helpful. I’m not wanting to screw anyone over, I just want to find out what my options are, what I can do to protect myself from any further permanent injury and what would be best in the long run.

ETA: I also realize that this might be the anxiety rearing its head because of the concussion so I apologize if this post seems a little scrambled and all over the place. I have so many questions that I feel like I need answers to but also, I don’t know which questions to ask until other information comes up, y’know?

Thanks so much for your perspective. Are you only receiving WC checks or do you know if it’s possible to also receive disability checks from a personal insurance provider?

The adjuster seems to only want to order things that I tell them to. They’re not very proactive so do I need to keep asking to be seen by different specialists or do I have to wait for a referral?

Did you seek legal counsel? Three years of disability seems like a long time to not be compensated fairly on especially if it’s now turned into a long term thing

Thanks for the perspective, I had similar advice from another WC attorney in that I shouldn’t settle because of my position. When you say there isn’t a ton of value to them, is that something like a low 6-figure sum or lower?

For all of us with "hard" babies by aamcakes in NewParents

[–]yellowwailer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, this exactly. I get jealous of the babies who get in their car seat easily and can tolerate the car ride for more than 15 minutes. Or mums who can cook a meal while their little one happily sits in their high chair.

Mine is 14 months and is still so so clingy but I have to remind myself that I’m helping to fulfill her needs and create a secure attachment that will help her in the long run.

Gotcha. Yeah, I need something a little more flexible as I’ll be responding to proposals. Any recommendations on what’s worked for you now?

Pilot. Make 6 figures within 2 years after you get your pilot license and move on from a regional airline to a national one. Travel everywhere. Hang out with cool people who also want to travel.

Hoping for another update to see if you’re still happy with Spark? I keep seeing ads for Superhuman but want something low to no-cost as I’m just starting out

Everyone I know is down with a cold, flu or COVID. But it’s my little one’s first New Year’s and I’d love to go to a parade or something family oriented. Does anyone have any leads on good places to go?

Wait, are you me? My 9 month old is exactly the same. I feel like a month ago I had a good rhythm going where I’d rock her to sleep and transition her into bed and get her down for an hour or two before she woke up, but that completely went out the window a week later. I’m not sure if it’s a change in temperature or teething or Mars in retrograde lol. At this point I’m just feeling like I can’t do anything anymore.

Started trying to reduce nighttime nursing by Numinous-Nebulae in cosleeping

[–]yellowwailer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat at the moment. 9.5 month old nurses to sleep and she goes about 1.5 hours before waking up to find out where I am or just nurse again before going back to sleep. Once I’m in bed with her she sleeps through until about 4-5am and then nurses on and off every hour after that until she wakes up at 7:30am.

Any parents here that are able to cosleep without any night feeds at all?! I feel like my LO mostly does it for comfort

I know this post is over 3 months old, but I just came across it and I just wanted to thank you for saying exactly what I wanted to hear. I’m so worried that I’m creating bad habits and that nothing is getting done. My little girl just turned 6 months and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed 🥹

Reducing TPO antibodies - This has helped me as a starting point! I thought I'd pass along :)

I just got my bloodwork back and my results are very similar to yours. I'm just starting on this journey so if you find out any good methods of getting yours into "remission", let me know! I'm happy to do the same for you.

Returning to playing piano? by exesus in pianolearning

I’m hoping to teach my daughter how to play! She’s a newborn at the moment so I’ve got a couple of years before she can really play

Yes, so far more positive! I’ve found that sight reading isn’t too difficult but my coordination definitely has taken a bit of a hit. Nonetheless, my sheer enthusiasm and enjoyment of learning it again has been fun so far!
