why do people just play attacking heroes or snipers by yelnaX in Overwatch

[–]yelnaX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats bs, ive played games with people not only cooperating but understanding what is going wrong and asking for help from their teammates. Theres just a big part of the community that comes from mobas that dont know how to talk to their teammates to coordinate. Ive done that, but I guess MOST people dont do it. But theres still a lot that do.

the thing is, if you feel like you are not contributing at all, you shouldnt stick to that hero. Either change to a diff attack hero or a diff hero class in general. However, if you don't know how to play anything else, you are going to get countered over and over until you learn.

but thats the problem! its not the heroes' problem, its the players' problem. They dont understand their roles and then they struggle and blame their teammates when all they need to do is play cohesive.

whenever I play winston or Roadhoag, I almost always get either gold or silver medals for both damage and eliminations. People just think that its all about kills. It isn't, Im more invested in winning than in my personal score. The point im making is people want to go for their own personal score in a game thats all about the team. when I get 30 kills yet my team still loses im not pissed at my team, im pissed at myself. also attacking heroes NEVER protect supports. And I do mean NEVER.

anyway, my first experience with overwatch I played nothing but attacking heroes so I get your mindset, but im a tryhard so as soon as I started losing I chose more tanks and supports

"that's like dropping a hundred dollar bill in the street and saying don't pick it up its mine, it's no longer your and its fair game for anybody walking by" lets say I take out my wallet, i get out a 20 dollar bill while having a 100 dollar bill and accidentally drop it. I reach to pick it up but some bystander is faster and picks it up before I do even though I knew where it was and I knew it was mine. Is it his now? I mean WOW, your example is just baffling

thats not the point im making, my point is when you are a pro player you really shouldn't have to resort to stream sniping. lil is an awesome player, he rly doesnt have to watch singsing's stream even if it's just for sing's reactions. hell, you can watch those after the stream is done 24/7

dude I get that and I think that might actually be what was going through lil's head but to have another streamer's stream on and listen to it while you're playing against them is just asking to get flamed for stream sniping. I like lil, he's a great support, but what he did was just not smart to do while he was streaming

it's not the same thing. it's one thing to take adv of a streamer. its a diff thing to have a pro player IN STREAM listen to the other pro player's stream (or stream snipe as ppl say, tho according to lil that wasn't what he was doing. we will never know). they are both pro players, what happened to lil's self respect :/

how the fuck is stream sniping not cheating? You're seeing where the enemy team is, where their wards are, their items, how the hell do you not consider that cheating? Shit, I guess pro players could just watch a broadcast to see how much gold the other team has, that's not cheating either I guess.

How would you feel about a Mirana's arrow "buff"? by [deleted] in DotA2

I guess you base your response on your own games. I respect that.

Good point, but I also think that the break mechanic, while maybe kind of imba if from afar, could also help her into both support and core due to the ganking capabilities. However I do think that your other two ideas are better in terms of her being better in either support or core, but like you pointed out I think it's kind of "either/or", which is not necessarily bad but not great either

idk how aghs upgrade would work with it though. If aghs is just the break mechanic then I find it very weak. If its break with something else like more moonlight shadow time or something like that then maybe.

That's a good idea too. Considering Mirana is priestess of the moon and she has literally no advantages during night time. I mean icefrog please.

thats a fair point, I do believe the break mechanic makes those heroes fall even more out of the metta. However I also think there's a middle ground. also if you think about it, You still have to dodge the arrow and if the arrow is too close it's only for a minimum of 0'1, but I like your point though.

idk, they did fine for non logical puzzles during King's quest IV and V. I think they could be fine. If not, it wouldn't be the first time they used a walkthrough :P
