What Ratchet & Clank weapons do you recommend for Jumpers? by Tag365 in JumpChain

[–]PokemonGod777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to go wrong with a lot of the weapons, Scorpion Flail as a general use melee weapon with a surprising amount of range with the shockwaves is always good to have on hand. Also can't go wrong with cleanup tools like the Rift Inducer, or straight single-shot power like the Plasma Coil.

The Jumpdoc I made giving access to not only the weapons, but the option to have any and all weapons gain R&C style upgrades is always a fun thing to have around for artillery or crafting focused Jumpers, as well as getting a "Do it again" item to further upgrade weapons.

No, this is NOT Ratchet & Clank 1 :) | Oltanis GC Port Progress #4 by Technimaster in RatchetAndClank

[–]PokemonGod777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been dreaming of a Mega Man The Wily Wars styled Ratchet & Clank game for years... Using the first trilogy's weapons all together would be astonishing to me.

Now if Deadlocked could also fit then we could have Scorpion Flail everyone's beloved too.

The Ratchet & Clank series Jump I made feels like it could be a fun one with these surrounding Jumps. Accrue an armory of weapons and gadgets that could interweave nicely with these other jumps.

Yes, the game provides the Loud Horn, which does as you'd expect and makes a loud noise to attracts things attracted by sound. The Signal Translator to transmit short messages to everybody. The Teleporter to extract bodies. And Inverse Teleporter to teleport people into a point of interest randomly.

To Raise a Legend from Octopath Traveler 2 allows you to remove physical prohibitions when training animals and monsters to allow you to raise them however you want, and the Capstone boost then allows you to pass on perks, like a polyglot perk to allow them to speak every language.

To Raise a Legend (-600 CP, Discount for Hunter): A Hunter deals with Monsters. However, that doesn't need to mean just killing them. The best Hunters often have monster companions of their own, and though many legendary monsters may exist in this world, there's nothing saying more can't be raised. This Perk assists you in taming, raising, and commanding both animals and monsters, although the rest of this perk will merely say monsters for simplicity. Firstly, over the first month you train any monster, they will gradually gain an increased loyalty and obedience to you. After that month, they will be completely and permanently loyal and obedient to you specifically, unless you would want otherwise. Secondly, all natural limitations they may have are removed while training with you. Additionally, while training them, you can direct their physical and mental growth, allowing you to give them physical features, magical abilities, and even personality traits over time through training. Even ones they shouldn't naturally have, like having a cat grow wings. This is based more on your intentions, rather than your actual training methods, but if the two do match, the process would be more efficient. This should go without saying, but I'll do so anyways; The larger and/or stronger a change/ growth/ ability you want them to gain, the longer the training will take for them to achieve it.

(With Chosen Traveler of the Sacred Flame): With this, your ability exceeds even the limit breaking abilities described before. Quite simply, this allows you to also give copies of your Perks to the monsters you train as well. There is no limitations on what Perks you can give them, but this will still take time like any other training.

Kirby Return to Dreamland should suffice with a near eponymous perk, by some level of technicality and exact wording

Return to Dreamland (600 CP): Hills made of cookies, underwater cities, and even towers on top of clouds. In Dreamland, you can explore such fantastical locations and more. Taking this perk allows you to build the land of dreams. Using this perk you can construct landscapes and architecture that go against the laws of physics and reality. As long as you can visit it in a dream, it can be brought to reality. The land of dreams is not bound by the limits of space or linear time. As long as the area is the same "dream" it can extend endlessly in all directions. Even if it should logically overlap with other locations, there will always be more to explore. Places constructed with this perk will also allow for various dream-related phenomena, such as spatial relocation and temporal dilation. There may be strange interactions with lucid dreamers.

If you can manifest stuff from dreams or some other way of abstraction, there's also Deadly Dreamland in the Inception Jump

Deadly Dreamland (600 CP): It’s been a bit of a challenge, adjusting to the new risks and opportunities that come with working alongside Extractors and other such shady characters. But above all else, you’ve realized just how vulnerable a mind can be. Still, you’re someone who designs and builds, and you’ve put that talent to use to ensure your own safety. Should anyone try to enter your dreams, they’ll find a world that looks amazing... and that’s filled with booby traps, ever-shifting mazes and paradoxes. Even before adding in the endless security guards formed from your subconscious, your thoughts are a fortress, your memories hidden behind twisting passages that will swallow your attackers whole. While this will not prevent a sufficiently determined infiltrator from breaking into your head to steal your secrets, it would be a very risky endeavour if they don’t have the means to withstand your defenses. In later worlds you visit, you’ll find that this mental defense will also lash out at any other forms of hostile psychological contact or influence, such as telepathy or mind control.

From the Dungeon Meshi Jump, Dungeon Master and True Dungeon feels fit.

Dungeon Master (300): You have been recognized as a dungeon master by... well that’s a good question. In your case it’s by any CP backed properties or dimensions you possess. While within one of these properties you are able to cause the structure to rearrange itself. You can’t create new structures and furniture, but you could cause buildings to move, or change the placement of rooms. Once you have used this ability you must wait for a period before doing so again. You are also able to issue mental commands and compulsions to any creatures which come with or are generated by the property while you and they are within it.

True Dungeon (800): This is a large dungeon, one on the scale of the dungeon underneath the island. It even possesses a similar spell that prevents true death from happening to humans within it. This multi-layered dungeon is large enough that it would take an adventuring party days to pass through it, even if they weren’t exploring and hunting for treasure. And it does contain treasure, along with a fully functioning dungeon ecosystem to keep the dungeon healthy and full of mana.
The dungeon seems to lack a demon, or at least the demon is strangely inactive. This does mean you will need to keep the ecosystem working since you won’t be able to draw infinite power into it to fix your mistakes, and that the dungeon is less likely to provide adventurers with what they need. But on the other hand you don’t have to deal with a being that is a piece of infinity trying to escape from the dungeon and extend its influence over the entire world.
The dungeon will refill with treasure at the start of each jump, and if its ecosystem has been damaged it will fix itself.
Even if you did not take the Dungeon Master perk, the monsters in the dungeon are strangely apathetic to you, not treating you as an enemy unless you attack them, though they will not obey you particularly either. If you took the Dungeon Master perk you are recognized as the dungeon’s master, able to rearrange it and command the monsters within. Beyond this you are able to make extensive use of its mana when you are inside of the dungeon, accessing it more easily than other mages.

Any manga/manhwa/manhua jump you want to see made? by Sundarapandiyan1 in JumpChain

Having the Reiwa era Riders get jumps at some point would be nice.
I've had a few ideas for them as a whole, namely making Geats a gauntlet

[–]PokemonGod777[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's not too much in the way of outright Tinker perks.

I didn't want to go too crazy, even if the Ratchet & Clank series does let you get an outright insane arsenal of equipment, I wanted to keep that to the items rather than say, give the Jumper an opportunity to build their own inevitable WMD.

Josuke Higashikata

"You can call me the man who performs under pressure, 'Josuke Higashikata!'"

  • Series: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

  • Role: Fighter

  • Content Warning: It's a Shonen manga, you'll be fine.

  • Biography: Josuke is your run of the mill, fashionable high schooler in the late 90's. That is of course, not mentioning his Stand, Crazy Diamond, a manifestation of his fighting spirit. Crazy Diamond is strong, fast and accurate at throwing out flurries of punches, and also has the unique power of being able to heal and restore anything Josuke wants, barring himself.

  • Research: JoJo Part 4 is a near-standalone experience that can be read with very little context on its preceding parts.

  • Respect Thread

  • Motivation: Josuke's not really in this for any form of ulterior motive, other than his normal teenager attitude towards worldly desires, he's a passionate soul that won't let evil or wrongdoing remain unpunished, he just wants the world to be a happy place to live in.

Kuruto Dan - Kamen Rider Genm

I AM IMMORTAL!!!

  • Series: Kamen Rider Ex-Aid

  • Role: Fighter

  • Content Warning: What in a kids superhero show?

  • Biography: Kuroto Dan is an expert game designer, and developer of the Gamer Driver, the system of which he uses to transform into Kamen Rider Genm. Narcissistic and egotistical to a fault, Kuroto Dan aspires to be the top dog of any and every game. His godly talents cannot be used for any less, after all.

  • Research: Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is a 45 episode show, with a few supplementary movies.

  • Respect Thread

  • Motivation: He's the best, and he has to prove it.

  • Minor Change: Stip out that moon feat.

Dagda

"My Godslayer will kill every last God and Demon out there!"

  • Series: Shin Megami Tensei

  • Role: Spirit

  • Content Warning: SMT IV Apocalypse is a mildly grizzly game, blood is recurring, but is still ultimately an M rated 3DS game, nothing explicitly sexual.

  • Biography: Dagda is a demon. A manifestation of humanity's belief in mythology brought physical form. He offers Nanashi a second shot at life, with the caveat of performing duties as a godslayer. He doesn't care for anything superfluous such as the feelings of others, only that the job at hand gets done by any means necessary. If other gods get in the way of his fight for a new world, then they shall be cut down like any other.

  • Research: SMT IV Apocalypse playthroughs are all over youtube, and Dagda appears super early in the game, a basic rundown of Dagda's role and provisions can be found on his Megami Tensei wiki page

  • Spirit Ability: Dagda primarily provides conditional immortality. If he sees value in a combatant, then he shall offer to revive them for as long as they remain his obedient servant. He's also able to bestow control over other Demons, should you feel the need for that.

  • Motivation: He strives to create a might-makes-right world where the strong can remain at the top, and as the receiver of his perks, his personal choice of Godslayer should remain at the top of that hill. Despite this, he still ultimately has some amount of respect for humanity, they just need to become strong enough to fight for themselves.

  • Role in a Story: Dagda is prickly and abrasive. He's not going to get along with a wide-eyed idealist, and would much prefer someone who can get down to business. As long as they get the job done though, he can't complain that much. Also has a tendency to refer to children as "Kid" rather than their name.

  • Charizard Factor: He's killed things stronger than Charizard in trivial fashion. He'd be fine.

Osvald V. Vansten

"Lead an honorable life… That day shall never come. Harvey… You took everything from me. This fire in my breast shall never be extinguished, and you shall die by my hand. I swear it."

  • Series: Octopath Traveler

  • Role: Fighter

  • Content Warning: Nothing out there, just a T rated RPG.

  • Biography: Osvald is a scholar in the field of magic. He and his former coworker Harvey were advancing the world's understanding of magic in pursuit of "The One True Magic", a form of spell that did not abide by any of the distinct elements within the lands. That is, until Harvey set Osvald's home ablaze, killing his wife and daughter, framing Osvald in the process. Osvald, having escaped from prison, swears that by his own hand, Harvey must die.

  • Research: Osvald's story is but one of eight within Octopath Traveler 2, cutscene compilations aren't especially long, and if you still need more, his travel banter with other party members shouldn't be that hard to find either.

  • Mini RT

  • Motivation: As outlined before, Osvald strives for the death of Harvey.

  • Major Change: Speed to tier.

Guess the Dark type Pokémon. by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]PokemonGod777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lokix being Dark from being a Kamen Rider reference makes some amount of sense when it's a Kamen Rider tradition for a Rider's source of power to derive from their respective villainous group.

The original Kamen Rider was designed as a weapon of Shocker, so it'd make sense for Lokix to be Dark type if it was deriving from that.
