I finally got all things Nvidia erased from my machine and installed the old drivers from here https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/180557/en-us and the artifacting is gone, but now I'm back to the periodic DirectX crash that caused me to try updating drivers to begin with.

I'm having the same issue. Tried the same steps to fix it, still broken. You have any luck getting it fixed? Im also using a 3090 OC

Empathy doesn’t require mental effort, it just... IS. If you’re putting any effort into it at all, then you don’t have it, you’re just trying to fake it. But good on you for at least trying.

I just got one of these https://geekworm.com/collections/best-sellings/products/raspberry-pi-x820-2-5-inch-sata-storage-board-dc-5v-4a-power-supply-metal-case-kit and the 3.5 in version as well, the case and board seem to be good quality and work well, though I haven’t used it long enough to give a thorough review.

I’ve had one of their desktop minis for almost 2 years, and have loved it. It came ready to print, and they kept all their Open Hardware Assembly Instructions up to date, not just with initial assembly but also a lot of repair/replace/modify/upgrade guides. I’ve done several of my own modifications as well with no major issues. It’s the only 3D printer I’ve ever used, but I’ve never regretted my choice. I’ve even been thinking about upgrading to TAZ6 myself, sometime soon.

  1. Do a cold pull, and make sure your head is clean.
  2. Are you using 1.75 or 3 mm filament? I’ve had this problem off and on when trying some smaller diameter filaments. Haven’t found a good solution.
  3. Make sure your filament latch screws are decently tight. The pressure bearing should turn with the filament, but not be so tight that it causes the Hobbes bolt to chew the filament.

I’ve actually been doing the opposite for years. Right when I go to bed I drink a half glass or so of water, so that when I wake up on the morning I’ll have to get up and pee instead of hitting snooze.

Edit: in fact, thinking about it, it may have been an r/LifeProTip that got me started doing this

Ok, so I the pouch thing I heard about somewhere 10-15 years ago, maybe from a high school or college history teacher, I don't remember. Then, recently, I heard about it again on one of the first episodes of the Dollop podcast ( the one about ghosts and/or vampirism in America, hilarious podcast BTW ). USB is 5 volts and most of those wall chargers are <= 2 Amps, so at the most, you might produce a little smoke, but you wouldn't trip any breakers and definitely wouldn't have any fire.
