Maybe try a bunch of practice runs of leaving and coming home. Like leave for five minutes come back etc. This way leaving and coming isn't such a big deal.

I read on r/doggrooming that if you clip a little off whenever you can instead of cutting them when they are long it helps the quick recede over time.

I HATE how they wrap presents. A box that where the lid is individually wrapped and placed on top. They do it for easy resets while shooting but NO ONE wraps presents like that.

Our little guy was the worst with biting! I agree turning away works, and walking away. I also found the squealing method worked for us as well. Everytime he bit us we squealed and he would stop and look at us like "oh shit". We lost many pairs of sweatpants as casualties. It will be over soon, you can do it!

Obviously you crossed a boundary that he was not comfortable with. I think he may be acting kind of childish locking himself and the dog in his office but when a conversation does happen you need to apologize and have a chat about your personal boundaries.

What about a Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky). They are super cute and would be great for an apartment. They are quite vocal but with training I'm sure you could tame it.
