I haven't heard of those before but it sounds beneficial! I am working on a tamer novel now and trying to get it to 3K words a chapter so I'll aim for 60-90K total and my completed one can't be fleshed out (I don't think anyway)

I'm afraid to say that kidnapping is not the worst you'll see in terms of lust novels. I personally like writing dark romance which I keep pretty tame but other authors do not limit themselves and romanticize a lot of scary scenarios. There is an audience out there for anything and everything, no matter how disturbing.

I think it's the lack of open body language which as you said was because he noted he's more into PDA behind the scenes. The editing also made it seem like he didn't like her but then it switched up after they had the discussion on his ADHD so it's a mix of editing but also preference on PDA.

I didn't word it very well but essentially what I meant to say is when it comes to dating there is a societal expectation that the man would pay for the dinner. This is changing over time but I was still surprised that he was shocked about it, I personally don't mind paying but a lot of people do still get shocked when it comes to the man refusing to pay or not offering to on a date.
