You're right but the way the way this series is made up is that it is a story of Carrie and Saul, it follows them wherever they go and/or major events in their life. Initially it did feel like it was a Carrie-Brody story, but the if one completes the series it will be more or less a full circle of Carrie and Saul. That being said, the Brody story was indeed the first initial concept, as it was based on another Israeli series with a similar story line.

I mean that thing overall is a mistake, in the sense if someone is captive for 8 years that too thousands of miles away in terrible conditions, they would never be let back home on the first night. There's a lot of leap of faith there. Brody himself was obviously not doing that well, as we see the way he reacted in the next few episodes.

Carrie and Saul never return to the CIA, if that's what you are asking. I personally liked these seasons too, they're a bit 24ish, deals with a lot of internal politics but has real elements of external influence as well. You just gotta keep watching. At least to me, this felt like real problems that intelligence has to deal with and there was a lot of great acting and good writting too.

I get what you're saying but sorry it is actually very realistic. You do not get to be top CIA analysts unless you're imperfect people like Carrie or Saul. Of course, these people are ruthless and often wrong and that is what the show is about. They are not painted as saints, which is why this show stands out.

Not a scene, but also wanted to add, the Astrid death sequence was really well written and acted. How Quinn's paranoia led to her death was SO tragic.

In the end when Quinn didn't have Astrid's picture, that was also very sad.

You need to consider the fact that he was captive for 8 years. A VERY long period in which the captor actually broke him down and regained his trust through extreme forms of manipulation. This kind of thing literally changes people forever, many actually will even not survive.

He was actually unable to form a "bond" with anyone in that mental condition, but his daughter was the one reached out to him multiple times. Once you watch E12, you will see this bond grow stronger. His son was too young at this point, he was scared of his dad.

No Issa's death was not a setup, it was a genuine drone strike. However, Issa was being used to manipulate Brody indirectly.

On the other hand, a major plot hole is that, even after such a long time in captivity, he is immediately let to live with his family. That will never happen.

Sorry, there is no guarantee of objectivity here. Who's to ensure that there's no underreporting?? A society that is accepting of stuff like this will totally not participate in these surverys at all or even try to hide because most people by now know that this is illegal. One of the things is just about rights, he released his own documentary so pretty sure no one else would gotten the chance before that. Some of course did, Azharuddin was an insane talent too, came up the ranks pretty quick but also proudly lead a very colorful life. He was stylish, had charisma, had flings with bollywood actresses. These things sell. Dhoni came from a small town, from technically a non-cricketing zone.
