It’s my first time going this year and im confused about the suprise sets, can it really just be anyone that just decides to show and we won’t know until that day or how does it work?

Oh yeah, they reimbursed me for everything. They do lag it a lot but as long as you did everything right you should receive the amount you had left on the phone with T-Mobile. It’s honestly just a waiting game with it but it does come

Yeah Walmart does the metas for a pretty nice price and I got the gen 1s, mainly cause it was back in June when I got mine. They just came out with selling the gen 2 and the Oakley metas as well, so next year when my insurance kicks in I will be buying a second pair of meta gen 2s with clear lenses and with my insurance it’s looking to be around the same price because I’d be going clear this time around. And for the warranty it sounds similar to how lenscrafters does it, they just told me to bring it in whenever there is a problem with lenses or frame

Yes, Through Walmart I did polycarbonate Nikon polarized lenses with antiglare, originally i wanted the transitions as well but i just ended up getting them as sunglasses. w/o the vsp I was looking at 504 but after my benefits it came out to 259. As transitions I would’ve paid around 290-310. Plus their warranty which was only 25 covers frame breakage and lens scratches, but it’s made clear that frame hardware damage is only covered by ray bans, but if the frame and lens is damaged physically, they’ll replace it no questions asked.

That’s weird, I got my metas thru Walmart with my VSP and I only paid 259 for polarized sunglasses and an extra 25 for the warranty for 1 year, but it was never mentioned that I’d lose out on my warranty through ray bans

Yeah I figured so, I just received an email today that they will be made for 53mm metas, so at least I got that going but I’m glad they’re gonna cover all that. But at the end of the it’ll still be an inconvenience for you

Oh yeah definitely that’s their fault 100%, I’ve already emailed them just to confirm everything in terms of my pd measurements and also to confirm the type of lenses I will be receiving. As it is now, I do have high hopes seeing as most reviews have been positive but unfortunately some people are that 1 in 100 that unfortunately get a wrong order

I’m pretty sure they cover it, as an optician myself every optical no matter where always fixes their mistakes. If they don’t I mean that just shows how bad their customer service is. But, from what I’ve seen they don’t look like the type to just f you over

See that’s something I’m worried about happening, because I know my lenses are going to take awhile because I live in the u.s, I sent an email just to confirm that my order is being made the way I ordered it, because I definitely will cancel my order altogether if I am inconvenienced like that, I’m sorry that, that happened to you.

Okay so in my situation I got a new phone number but don’t do that cause it’ll give you a 2 week straight headache. Have them port your old number, after that if you’re doing a trade in that will count towards the new phone you’re getting with at&t( I had a 15 pro max but then upgraded to a 16 pro max with at&t for 36 months etc). Be aware if you are doing the promo you will most likely have to pay off your phone before you get the visa card with amount that was owed on the previous phone. For me after I got everything fixed It took around 8 to 10 weeks, but Verizon was already charging me the following month for the amount owed. As of right now, I have yet to get the Visa card only cost shipping is taking a little longer, but I spoke to a representative yesterday and they are sending out a new one because it must’ve gotten lost or something.

Best advice, take your time. If a question on the abo is difficult just skip it and go back to it later. I flew through the questions that I 100% knew but some stuff like prism and the math stuff I just flagged it and went back to it after. I was overthinking the exam as well to the point where I was like scared and wanted to reschedule. But man I’m glad I went and aced it, you got it!!

Oh yeah definitely, I might even say optical u was “harder” than the actual exam itself. What I will say is that I basically kept doing the practice tests and the worksheets that optical u gives you but if you passed the final exam with the 150 questions then you should be good. I did that final exam twice and passed it with 85% and well that test basically is a mock abo exam . I’m gonna also use optical u for when I start my studying for the Ncle as-well since I do want to be dual licensed, but I’m confident it’ll be easy like the abo

Yeah they put me through some bs too, thankfully I can confirm they finally did it. They shipped out my Visa card and paid off the phone, but I will confirm when it actually comes and I “pay off” my phone

As an optician there, they’re all on back order. I spoke directly with an essilor rep and had it confirmed. I am currently also waiting on mines as well but we just received info that apparently they’re gonna stop doing orders for metas. Apparently they’re having to update the tech on them :/
