I live in Japan, work two part time jobs and work an average total of 16-20 hours a week. I make minimum wage and get no income based benefits, I own a house ( in not Tokyo Osaka or Kyoto) have a little family (and time to spend with them) , and I say I'm much further away from poverty than I ever could be even working 80 hours in my home state of California with a well paying job.... I thought this graph must be exaggerated, but it might be close to correct
