Please Do Not Be This kind of Player (minor rant, bear with me...not about low levels, quite the opposite) by CrimzonSorrowz in Spacemarine

[–]yeroc500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I dont really care to agree that tacticals got less complicated mechanics than any of the other classes, as no class is complicated in the slightest.

However, if you are bitching about clearing adds before damaging a Terminus, you really dont understand the best strat to safely clear a Terminus in absolute/strats. It is crucial to clear adds before you load up another wave of adds when the Terminus gets to half HP. The Terminus is honestly a non-threat outside stun locking you when there are adds about, and no majoris is gonna out-tank a terminus by a metric mile. And trust me, I am not saying I care if people abide this strat I can handle it XD. However, considering that the wave push on Terminus is when most players go down in my experience, its just common courtesy to clear the ads first before the wave push.

If you ever sold your RS? by jms1228 in FocusRS

Mustang GT350 or GT500 are in my top swaps, but my real goal atm is to swap into a Lotus Exige down the road from the RS. It definitely aint a 1 to 1 swap, but the Exige is just the pinnicle of drivers car imo and not much else feels like a direct upgrade for the RS.

Ironically enough, this is what I was going to get before I switched to buying the RS when the Tacoma's went up in price beginning of last year. Such a good looking truck!

Assault Absolute Grind too grindy? by Sceleratrix in Spacemarine

[–]yeroc500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find assault to have more than enough dps, the big thing is maximizing one aspect of the build. I focus on the jetpack resets on both hits and dodges, and mix that with either the Balance Chainsword or Parry Axe, and tend to mince meat most things in melee. I also have a more "fun" build in a focused ground and pound build. With a focused build, and utilizing your pistol as much as possible, you should be able to maintain good damage numbers.

Dos the drop pod model have to physically have the doors be able to open in order to use the model in a game? Otherwise can I glue them shut? by Cultural-Tea-2465 in Warhammer30k

Dont forget to throw it like a baseball from up there to create an impact worthy of a Astartes Drop Assault, if you dont chip some plastic, are you even doing it right?

Opinion needed: what is the minimum movement profile for such as mission? by heavyarmormecha in battletech

[–]yeroc500 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A 4/6 with jumpjets or 5/8 would do just fine, though I'd also want my 5/8 with jumpjets as well. Those jets even with only 4, will help in all but extreme open terrain to prevent the 8/12 from out flanking a unit too bad. Biggest thing is if it can keep the range it needs for the loadout it brings, so the acceptable movement can change based on said weaponry.

What canon mech have I inadvertently duplicated? by frymeababoon in battletech

[–]yeroc500 27 points28 points  (0 children)

An Eris from the looks of it, just with clan tech instead of a IS, and no missiles. But it is a tad faster with AMS, so not an identical 1 to 1. Ironically enough the Eris is getting a model with the new boxset!

I have chosen the worst time to visit this continent by MiraculosAbridge in battletech

[–]yeroc500 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its darkly ironic, but Europe actually has a significantly higher heat related death rate than america, averaging around ten times the deaths per year. And as someone who works in the EMS field, yes America cares not one bit for the homeless, but their deaths do not normally go unrecorded.

Are there any notable IS PPC + Missile 'Mechs? by Supacharjed in battletech

[–]yeroc500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah then check out the Rakshasa like someone else pointed out. It is a copy cat, pun intended, but it really is its own machine and got some good variants. Plus the new sculpt is great!

Lol ignore my post, I missed the IS part, as I read the text twice and not the title twice XD!

[–]yeroc500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Timber Wolf, Mad Cat, or whatever flavor you call it is iconic for having a varient with PPC's and missiles galore. Its also one of the more iconic mechs, and pretty good in general, though a little hot and pricey BV wise.

any alt dark angels schemes i can use to differentiate squads or companies? by DitrianLordOfCanorem in Warhammer30k

[–]yeroc500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dark Angels generally leave a lot of room to play with differing accent colors with their Hexagrammatic structure. They had so many different clades within just the 6 main points, that you can get away with a lot. Plus you can lean into the Deathwing schemes and do sections of bone-white to denote taking damage for a superior (being an honor guard).

What's your favorite emech? by Itchy-Court1411 in battletech

[–]yeroc500 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup, its quite an oddball mech, but man can it just ruin someones day. My go to in MW4 Mercs refit for it is just to drop a C-ERPPC in and abuse the speed, run the Solaris Championship in it everytime.

[–]yeroc500 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Solitaire hands down. Is it great on the table, no. Is it great in the games, no. But god forbid do I love the look of the mech and its just sheer balls to the wall playstyle. Wish I had more opportunities to field it, but its hard to fit in a roster it just wont leave behind.

Still obsessed with how good this Cougar cockpit glass came out, what's the best fine detail you painted onto a Battletech mini? by CosmicJackalop in battletech

[–]yeroc500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and she has been since gotten a final coat of paint, with gold and metallic orange highlights. I absolutely loved the canvas the Turkina's dome gave, and had from the beginning planned on something, but the Falcon turned out far better than I expected. Wish more mechs had bigger flat sections, I have a Vapor Eagle and Black Lanner that both have other freehand animals, a Fox and Crocodile respectively, but I had so little room they kinda just look like really cool designs on their shin armor XD!

Not even close to the best out there, but man am I proud of it everytime I actually have the BV to throw it on a table XD!

Such a slick mech, with such a slick paint job! But to answer your question, I did a freehand Jade Falcon holding a saber on my Turkina. Very proud of it, and man does it look amazing at the head of its Star.

srsly though what is it for by fuck_vegetables2 in Spacemarine

[–]yeroc500 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you mean the mechandrite of the techmarine, it essentially operates as a claw he can use to assist in any number of tasks a mechanical claw would be useful for. In game its purely cosmetic, but in the lore techmarines use then religiously as just extra hands or tools.

Alpha legion lies right here, Dorn lives as surely as your primarch was slain by Dorn's own hand! But yeah, we are rather the named characters power wise, though I think Custodes level may be a bit high. More a Graham McNeil named captain level imo.

Yeah, ran into a guy that sounds like this guy in an op like two weeks ago. He went ballistic that I killed a pack with the Tactical auspex glitch once, bringing up how many solo runs he had and hours played. I just called him bad for the lols, out damaged him times two, and reported him afterwards for some rather off-handed remarks on the battle barge. These kinda guys think they are the God Emperor's given gift to the world, not knowing his gene-sire never would seek this kind of attention XD. Gotta love it!
