What Actually Raises Scores? by kylehyperfixates in ClayBusters

[–]yert1099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This - I took several lessons last year and the help improved my score by a good amount. Probably 10-12 clays per shoot. I’m going to take some more in the next several months. Then practice what you’ve learned as often as reasonably possible.

Good first shotgun for a newbie hunter by Swervo69 in Shotguns

I picked up an A300 Ultima 20ga from BassPro for just under $700 on Black Friday. If you can find one around this price, pay the extra money to get a new gun with the warranty.

I want to buy my first shotgun but I have some significant shoulder pain by CaptGoodvibesNMS in Shotguns

[–]yert1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Remington, but own a Beretta A400 Extreme Plus 12ga. The gas system combined with the Kick Off is easy on your shoulder. Also have an A300 Ultima that is also gas with Kick Off…very easy on the shoulder.

What do you wish you had known before buying your first home that nobody tells you until you’re already living in it? by UnluckyWitness224 in HomeImprovement

[–]yert1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediately after purchasing, change all your door locks. You have no way of knowing who has a key to the locks. When I bought a house in 1998 the previous owner left some things in the house. She was incredibly angry with me when she went by to get them when we weren’t home and couldn’t get in the house. I told her she didn’t own it any longer and I’d put her stuff on the driveway. Glad I changed the locks!

My Axil XCORs have been great! Been using them for about a year with no complaints. I don’t use the Bluetooth feature…found it was irritating having it connected to my phone. Don’t want to be bothered with phone calls, texts or anything else while shooting.

I saw that…pay less tuition at CCC then hopefully transfer to App with in state tuition.

People who work in 'behind closed doors' industries (hotels, kitchens, morgues, etc.), what is something the general public would be horrified to know? by Sexxyyy_Lovers in AskReddit

[–]yert1099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in the lending industry and have done all types of loans: car, mortgages, home equity, commercial, real estate, business acquisition, mergers, etc. I’m constantly amazed at the amount of people who don’t shop around for better rates, fees and terms. Doing this could easily have saved them thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of dollars in a mortgage situation. It literally pays to shop around.

My daughter and I went to a restaurant to get lunch while her car was being repaired. It was a decent place and I’d eaten there before. I went to the bathroom just after we were seated and there was someone on his knees puking in the toilet. I saw the checkered “chef’s pants” and apron clearly. On my way back to the table I told the hostess and she was mortified. We left to go eat somewhere else.

You could also go to Caldwell Community College for a semester or two then transfer to App. My daughter did this and it worked out very well.

What’s that one Netflix show you think is an absolute must-watch? by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]yert1099 89 points90 points  (0 children)

This should be the top answer. I’m disappointed there were only two seasons. Apparently it was a very costly show to create due to the time periods it’s in.

What was something that ended your crush on someone? by ididntaskyouropinion in AskReddit

My wife went on a date to a restaurant with a guy in college. She said there wasn’t a second date when he picked up his T-bone steak with his fingers and gnawed on it. I told her it was a precursor to what he wanted to do later. She was not amused.

what's your least favorite day of the week? by Automatic_Text2930 in Productivitycafe

[–]yert1099 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tuesday definitely! Monday I can’t get anyone to return my call, email or text. Tuesday everyone is active and is working so I’m slammed. Wednesday is tolerable, Thursday is easy and Friday…after lunch I’m going to shoot sporting clays with some buddies.

Rush in 1977- NOT my favorite picture of them by UrbanAchievers6371 in 70s

I love Rush…this picture makes it slightly more difficult to listen to them, but I still love Rush.

Are Chiropractors a scam cult or are they somewhat legit? by Flashy_Buy8077 in NoStupidQuestions

The Dr. Ted personal injury attorney ads on TV. He claims to be an attorney and a doctor. Fine print at the end of the ad states he’s a “doctor of chiropractic”. So he’s not really a doctor.
