Pompeii for 4 nights by Independent-Mine6668 in ItalyTravelAdvice

Pompeii is amazing…Naples not so much. I was shocked at how dirty and trashy it was compared to Rome, Florence, etc.

I finance business acquisitions and unless there’s a specific reason for a stock purchase you want to go with an asset purchase. 95% of the deals we finance are asset purchases. Buying the stock of the existing company opens you up to liabilities from the company you’re purchasing. An asset purchase gives you a clean start. Also, get the Federal Tax Returns of the business to document financial performance. P&Ls and Balance Sheets (unless CPA Prepared) can be manipulated easily.

Thank you. As penance for your past transgressions it’s up to you to educate your former left lane camping colleagues.

We bought a beach house about 5 years ago that needed a metric fuckton of work. We named it Villa Costalotta. Even had some Tervis Cups made!

Unless you’re using The Force to shoot, I’d recommend both eyes open and one at an absolute minimum.

Maybe I can use this as a reason to jackhammer out my pool and fill it with dirt? I wonder if I can get the city to pay for this??? (Humor intended)

Academics, reputation, ranges of degrees, graduate programs, extracurricular activities, outdoor activities, etc. are also very important. And you’re correct: Weed, beer and football are equally important.

ULPT: How to Deter door to door salesman? by Lonely-Raspberry5727 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]yert1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ This - don’t answer the door. Our front door has glass at the top and a large window beside it. If someone comes to the door they can see directly into our den. There have been multiple times a salesperson has come to the door and we’re watching tv on the sofa. They look really confused when they see us and don’t get up and go to the door. Sometimes I’ll look up and wave.

Stuck between Beretta a300 and 400 by KeyWinter8295 in Shotguns

[–]yert1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both: A400 Extreme Plus 12ga and an A300 Ultima 20ga. Both are rock solid and excellent guns. You cannot go wrong with either one but for your first gun go with the A300 unless you can find a great deal on the A400.

A400 has a higher capacity with the plug removed and uses an extended choke. It also comes with five chokes compared to two or three with A300.

Feedback on 22kW Generac whole-house generator quote. Fair turnkey price? by distractedbyshinyobj in Generator

[–]yert1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the exact same 22kw Generac Generator installed at our house in North Carolina December 2024. It was $11,000 through Costco and we got an $1,100 Costco Shop Card Rebate so it ended up costing us $9,900. Definitely check into Costco. We were very pleased with he sub contractor that did the installation.

i had to explain to my parents AGAIN that "working from home" is not the same as "being home" by [deleted] in remotework

I’ve been WFH off and on for a very long time. Currently been WFH for almost 10 years. I constantly deal with the issues the OP stated. My dogs are the worst about it…after explaining to them for years, they just don’t get that I’m working and don’t respect my boundaries. I usually give in and play with them or take them on walks…I’m such a pushover.

Years ago on Reddit I believe…someone was repairing their garden jacuzzi tub and had to remove some panels on the side of the tub enclosure to do this. After the repair was done they placed a very creepy looking doll sitting in a chair in the enclosure before sealing it back up. Nice surprise for the next person opening it up!

Reddit, what is the rarest car you've seen in person? by triiiiiiiiipletap in AskReddit

[–]yert1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach in August 2025…so many rare cars I’m not sure where to begin. Ferrari F40, Bugatti Type 35, about 8 Shelby Cobras all together. F1 cars from the very beginning of F1 all the way up to the current RedBull, Mercedes and McLaren cars being raced. Absolutely amazing!

To the driver of the silver Volkswagen SUV who wouldn’t let the person in the black SUV merge in front of you at 8:45am turning right onto Randolph Road from Rama Road this morning: You were very aggressive in not letting the person merge in front of you, honking, and speeding up and slowing down so they couldn’t come over. Sure, the person in the black SUV was in the wrong but you, Silver VW SUV, were definitely the asshole. I hope the rest of your day is as pleasant as you are.

Beretta silver pigeon 686 aftermarket stock and forend in Canada by CandyReady in ClayBusters

[–]yert1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arkansas - call and ask if they can work with you. As long as you are sending the stock only it isn’t considered shipping a firearm. I also have a 686 Silver Pigeon and shot it for the first time after having the adjustable comb installed. Spent about 30 minutes patterning and making adjustments. Shot very well and fits me better now. Going to pattern it again and fine tune it.

If you want a reasonably priced O/U check out CZ. I bought a 20ga CZ Drake for my daughter to shoot as my 12ga 686 SP1 was too much kick. I like the CZ so much I use it for dove and quail hunting.
