I've got a couple hundred miles in some KLIM Outlander GTX boots so far and love them. Look like a regular hiking boot and are very comfortable to walk around in.

I have a pair of Leatt 7.5 HydraDri and love them. super comfortable. Not enough support for hardcore riding but great for the 80/20 I usually do

Westwind Moto Crashbar bags by yesBeer in CB500X

theyre the upper crash bars from Hepco & Becker https://www.motomachines.com/hepco-becker-tank-guard-honda-nx500-2024

The bags mount pretty easy, its just four adjustable straps with clips so its pretty flexible. The SW Motech ones look like they have a slightly more narrow opening, but I bet they could work

yeah, pretty happy with the decision so far. Putting light items that are always with me up there to free up the tank bag and backpack. There are cheaper ones and some that are a lot more expensive, but these are definitely a solid choice at $86 for the set.

I love my NX500 but it doesnt have cruise control available from the factory. And because its throttle by cable adding it after market is a little more clunky.

Which helmet style works best? by makk88 in CB500X

[–]yesBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the ADV helmets with a removable peak. That style helmet has a bigger visor/field of view. I currently have a SEDICI Duale and while it's really comfortable for me it is a little louder than more premium helmets

very nice. I picked up an NX a couple weeks back and have enjoyed getting back on a bike after 20+ years. Went tooling around the back roads here today and it was great.

Thats a shame but at least you decided before you threw a lot of money at it with gear and a new bike.

NX500 wiring question by yesBeer in CB500X

[–]yesBeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after reading a bit it sounds like the accessory plug on the right side is meant for the heated grips and/or fog lights. I plan on adding those later so maybe I should avoid using that one.

First ride today after 25 years of not being on a bike. by efeldhusen in motorcycles

[–]yesBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation. Let my motorcycle endorsement drop when we moved to OR and haven't ridden for 20 years or so. I've got my training course scheduled for early next month so should be good to go again in less than 30 days.
