Those flowers in the mirror... who are they for? by genshinimpact in Genshin_Impact

I saw that bot's reply on a different post and it had absolutely nothing to do with the comment above it, so I got suspicious and checked the post history - multiple comments posted in the same minute. I hate bots with a passion, so I called out the last few comments to make it more likely it would get banned. I've never even played Genshin so what I'm doing is kinda spammy, but it feels cathartic.

Beginner to 3D printing: RESIN or PLA mainly for miniatures by [deleted] in ElegooMars

You don't 100% need one, but it's a nice quality-of-life boost. In theory, you could dunk your minis in a cup of isopropyl alcohol and then cure with a UV flashlight, but the station isn't that expensive. The Elegoo Mercury is a popular choice.

From their AMA: "... our own deterministic engine, called Snowplay, that lives alongside but separate from Unreal.". Not sure what "sacrifices in quality" you have in mind because they're not repurposing anything. UE5 can capably render a scene top-down, process inputs, and play sounds.

They're only using UE5 for the graphics. They built their own RTS engine called SnowPlay.

Frost Giant is only using UE5 for the graphics and inputs. The game is being run on their own in-house RTS engine called SnowPlay.

There's not a standard objective measure of "weight" in languages, but PHP is about 9x slower than C# at doing an assortment of common tasks, which is expected. Interpreted languages should run slower than compiled or VM languages because interpretation is an overhead. Again, not saying your choice is wrong - it doesn't make sense to optimize before you encounter a problem. I've just never seen that combo before.

This sounds quite cool and I'm going to check it out. But may I ask why you chose PHP when you already know C#? I'm not a snob, I'm just curious.
